I've tested Monaco and it doesn't crash anymore. I still have a texture problem, but I'm not sure if that's caused by the track or something else.

Awesome, the jams could be in the wrong folder or sumthin? I had a lot of missing jams a while bak with monaco.

Ok, that must be it. I just use the .dat files, no extra jams installed. R_Scandura just tested a beta and confirmed it works fine now.

i right now noticed something unexpected when working on an early stage WIP. After i started making the scenary at some point the game freezes. I usually load the saved game and move the car ahead and back in the area to see where the ribbons fall. after some loadings and some manouvres it suddenly freezes from any T-cam and from onboard. I rolled back to previous version of the patch to see if the problem stays.

EDIT: I'm afraid it's the dat to be bugged, will put under stress the recent dats to be sure.

I had a freeze with GP4 related to skid marks after extending its buffer (it scales with the number of segments). I fixed this for GP4, but I couldn't find the same code in GP3. But maybe it freezes somewhere else in GP3. I'd need the .dat file to test this in the debugger.

hmm it has sense if it's about the skid marks. i think it happened when starting from stopped car indeed.
i burned tires in another track and never got a crash.

My freeze happened after skidding for a few minutes, so I'm not sure if it's related.

I tested your track, but I couldn't get it to freeze, with or without extending the track. I even tried to make 360's for a few minutes. Maybe it's related to the jams?

no idea, the jams are taken from other working tracks.
well, the file survived untouched 7 years and 3 pc crashes so i think i'd better rebuild it from scratch. for the rest no other troubles noticed
