question about the DRS....

can it also apply for the computer controlled cars in the game???

I like a challenge when i play so i'm wondering if it also works for the AI cars

DRS Is Same for all Cars.. If drivers (AI) of the other cars too press F7 ;-)
Silence in the class....... Today's Topic -- KERS (I)

Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems

KERS Explained..

Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems : (KERS) are automotive systems whereby the kinetic energy of a moving vehicle is recovered under braking and stored in a reservoir (either a flywheel or a battery) for later use under acceleration.

KERS was used for the motor sport Formula One's 2009 season. The Formula One teams that used Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems in the 2009 season are Ferrari, Renault, BMW, and McLaren. One of the main reasons that not all cars use KERS is because it adds an extra 25 kilograms of weight. While not adding to the total car weight, it does incur a penalty particularly seen in the qualifying rounds, as it raises the car's center of gravity, and reduces the amount of ballast that is available to balance the car so that it is more predictable when turning. FIA rules also limit the exploitation of the system. Eventually, during the season, Renault and BMW stopped using the system. Williams is developing a flywheel-KERS system.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes became the first team to win a F1 GP using a KERS equipped car when Lewis Hamilton won the Hungarian Grand Prix on July 26, 2009. Their second KERS equipped car finished fifth. At the following race Lewis Hamilton became the first driver to take pole position with a KERS car, his team mate, Heikki Kovalainen qualifying second. This was also the first instance of an all KERS front row. On August 30, 2009, Kimi Räikkönen won the Belgian Grand Prix with his KERS equipped Ferrari. It was the first time that KERS contributed directly to a race victory, with second placed Giancarlo Fisichella claiming "Actually, I was quicker than Kimi. He only overtook me because of KERS at the beginning".

From Wiki Thank you.....

Aah.. Fisi..:-( always quipping over others achievements.. Detention for you sunny...

------------------------------------------------------- Test : 30 minutes flat (O) ---------------------------------------------------------------

Kers at 100%

=========================================================

Kers at 70%

=========================================================

Kers at 45%

=========================================================

Kers at 20%

=========================================================

Kers at 0%

=========================================================

The result... Not too bad... Need a lot of work on how to were KERS out
progressivily throughout the lap...

Noticed KERS gets used up quickly on LAP1.. LAP 2 onwards.. its more progressive usage...

I think you're confused

the race is not simulated

which simulates the action of the DRS and KERS

no cars are getting faster by being activated

Into GPXPatch, CInfo tab, you have to modify the ini file:
1- Click on edit and change the values for all the gears: x=100 y=200
2- Also click on edit image and replace the previous values by the ones shown above: x=100 y=200 for all gears.
Your problem will be fixed.

My problem: The kers don't work for me. It is always on off. Is the slot for the ini file important? I mean, should the kers be placed above the panel.ini file to get it to work?

Yes, you are right... You have to place the DRS and Kers panels under/after the hud 2011 panel... otherwise they will show up underneath and not be seen...

The right order is important... Hope this will help you, it works for me :)
