GP4 Builder 1.02 is available

Times are very calm for track editing bugs. I hope that's because GP4 Builder was really that good but I do not have too much illusions, bugs will come back

They already start in fact and that's why I continued to work on GP4Builder up to this 1.02 version I release today. It fixes (of course) all the bugs I was aware of (but .dat to .3ds kerb conversion) but it also brings some handy new or enhanced features here and there to save track makers life a bit more.

So have a good time with this version and best wishes to all track makers using this tool to prepare great new HD tracks

here is the changelog:

v1.02 (february 2nd 2007)
New: Distance with past and next sectors
New: Delete one or all track/pitlane kerbs
New: Change behaviour of multiple consecutive .col faces
New: Display scenes using one of the 3 wireframe modes
New: shortcuts for invertion of Normals and face creation order
New: invert .gp4 face order at part and face level
New: invert .gp4 normals at face level
Enhanced: Added some more flag checks in Track flag list
Enhanced: Only show .gp4 part normals for parts and below levels
Fixed: multi-part .gp4 objects were exported with incorrect textures and materials settings
Fixed: error when selecting some track cameras
Fixed: incorrect camera first shot
Fixed: original cockpit_wheel.gp4 file was always detected as locked
Fixed: "size" label was displayed when a .gp4 part texture was missing
Fixed: mouse sector selection could lead to a mix of pitlane and track lines in the left panel
Fixed: ungrouping a part was not creating a good object/part link in the new object
Fixed: incorrect HD fence display if bank width was inferior to verge width
Fixed: deleting a material was messing all remaining materials

Tested it, the onboard lap is now very smooth and the angles of the cams are somewhat different compared to the previous version of GP4 Builder.

There was a small problem with orthographic view scaling the image along with the window so a aquare wouldn't always appear sqaure, but its on the fix list - just to let yous know.

The shortcut keys are a big help - could it be possible to customise them?

Orthographic deformation will be fixed in next version.

Concerning shortcuts, it might be done, but it would also need to prevent double assignements and to save them a way or another...I will add it to the todo list for now.
