Problem with hud_kph on 2014 laptop edition (Solved)

Hi, I have this problem with the display of the hud_kph. I've tried all resolutions, but the only thing that changes is the position of the hud. Any suggestion...?

I would try turn it off on GPxPatch/GPxCInfo tab
Maybe switch it to hud_mph.ini there & see if that one works
then switch it back

Also if you double click that ini file in the GPxCinfo tab you have a spot in there to set resolution
That could be your problem?



If it still does not work I would just switch that folder in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Grand Prix 4 Laptop 2014\gpxpdata\pnl\hud_kph

Let me know if you need I can upload just that folder somewhere? 15.6mb
Or you can download it from the maker but I am not sure where

When I switch to hud_mph nothing displays. In fact, its current folder is empty... But when I've switched it back to hud_kph the problem have fixed!! So thank you very much
Now the annoying thing is that the numeric display shows a wrong speed according to the actual gear (see pic). I suppose is displaying mph. It's weird, because the external rounded speedometer (sorry, my english is poor and i don't know exactly how to name that) does show kph reading...

Sorry, I've solved that in the workshop menu. Do I edit the previous message? Or leave it like that for other gamers with te same issue?

No problem & you can leave last message but yes has edit button on bottom near reply button of your post
Some folks edit the original to include "Solved" in the title so other know when searching it has the answer in post

I am glad you fixed it & yes in workshop menu change mph to kph

I had that problem too

Yes, it did look bigger because of the resolution. I've just solved that too switching to 1366x768 p. in the control panel of the hud.ini, as you suggested.

Now everything looks real fine for an enjoyable f1 session ^^

Now, when I have downloaded the hud, where do I locate the files? In the GP4 main directory I think, but where exactly?

Put it in the gpxpdata/pnl directory within its own directory. Select the panel in GPxCInfo.

Help! I have the same problem as described above, with the only difference that switching between mph and kph doesn't solve the problem! Any other ideas?

I can't seem to find one to right size.

Mostly I have always used HUDs that came with MODs
the one pictured above came with the GP4 Central Mod & is made by Chris J
