Tom,
I noticed a small problem with the 2013 and 2014 mods in Monaco pitlane. (versions 2012 and 2013)

When the AI cars go in the pit lane, they stop front of their garage but too far and the engineers can't push back them in the garage.
So they stay at this position.....
Also for the car player, once you are out of your garage, if you brake, the car continues to slip slowly with all wheels blocked... and you can't stop.
May be these 2 issues are linked... I don't know.

If I use Monaco 2012 or 2013 with another mod (eg: fsone/rsct 2009) there is no issue, so I don't think it's related at these tracks.
However it should be caused by the specific Monaco pitlane because I didn't notice yet this problem with another track... but I didn't test all.

Did you notice it? Do you have an idea how to fix it?

Hey Bernard - I'll take a look.

=====================================================

Intel NUC 8i3, 8GB RAM, MS Sidewinder Wheel
It is caused by the track's Magic Data.

I put the original 2001 magic data into the 2013 Monaco track and now when the cars come back to the pits, they stop much closer to their garages and there is no problem.

Ah OK....
but how could we explain it doesn't occur with another mod?
Yesterday I gave you a bad feedback. It doens't occur with your 2013 mod but only with 2014
I use TSM, so I use exactly the same track....
Anyway, thanks for the TIP. I will try it.

With the 2014 Mod the cars seem to be getting stuck in the right-hand wall of the pitlane. I am guessing that because the cars are heavier they are stopping slightly later and so getting stuck in the wall?

Not sure, but it looks like an easy fix. I will figure out which MD value affects this and let you know.

More of what I wrote before, the strange behaviour (car which slips with the 4 wheels blocked) doesn't occur only in the pit lane
but also on track...
I removed the 2014 physic but it's still the same... really strange...

EDIT : The problem is related at the V6Turbo.cap.
I removed it and the problem gone . All cars stop at the rigth position in the pit lane and the player car can be stopped
by bracking in the pitlane or on track. May be too much torque at low rev?

I have a weird thing happens at times with the CSM version & am not sure if it is track related
or not but happens at various tracks. Also I do not use a user based setup for these.
Also not car related as it happens with different cars.

Sometimes when I enter a quick race the cars show up with wets
I delete the wad cache & sometimes that cures it sometimes not
Then I try a different track & sometimes works sometimes not

Not a big deal & initially I was deleting & reinstalling the CSM
but have since found I just need to go in & out a few times to clear it.

Here are a couple pics

it occured to me one time. It was because I loaded a "end season track".
In the settings\globalvars file, there is a part named "compound" which defines what are the dry tyres to be used for each event.
However in the mod, this file is filled until track number 10 and if you select a end season track, there is no data, so you don't patch the game and
get the original textures of the tyres. Exactly what your shots are showing .
To prevent it, I filled all the track from 10 to 17 with "softmedium" (it's an example)..

I disabled the wad cache of CSM so don't know exactly how it works but may be by doing the same than above, it will fix
the matter.

gezere Thanks so much!

Amazing you found that! Very good

You know I am sure your right because I have found what usually fixes it is if I exit & choose Melbourne
after deleting wadcache & then going to say Monza or one of the end of season tracks
Which by the way is in fact where it always occurs...Spa,Monza etc.

Also thanks I did not know about that disable wadcache option
& have also disabled it.

Wow Thanks again! (Y) (B)

Oops - that's a silly bug. I will fix that in Release 2.

That fix did work & I have not had any wets show up since adding the tites
Thanks again gezere

Also Tom remember my floating tires slightly above the track deal?
I actually got rid of it after thinking about what you said about shadows
I changed the
[MAIN VIEW] Shadow type (under cars) (0=> off, 1=> static, 2=> composite, 3=> projected)

From #2composite to #3projected
Now tires all look correct on track no float
The only slight downside is sometimes I get those stretched out the back of cars shadows that looks like they are leaving rubber
tracks...But not always & not a problem :)
