Thank You Tom & I think your right
that it is an optical illusion because it is not constant.

Just mainly when viewing a car kind of quarter approaching to a turn
On grid etc all is fine & in many views such as on straights etc.

As to the possible fix you mentioned
I tired it but have same result. Will attach thumbnail

But also as I said it was just a curiosity & does not take away from this
excellent mod.
Thanks again to you & all who contributed to it (Y)

Forget what I wrote , I didn't notice that you were running Tom's MOD .
Yeh, frustrating. I have tried to change the offending static shadow texture (it's in cars.wad but I forget the name) before but I've never been able to figure it out. It doesn't seem to have any effect.

BTW the reason it doesn't affect the 2001 or 2009 cars is because they have a slightly shorter wheelbase so the shadow texture meets the wheels at the correct place. The longer, post-refuelling-ban cars have their rear wheels further back so you get this visual bug sometimes.

That is interesting about the post-refuelling-ban cars
but truthfully I am amazed ...

Given when the original code was written
how much you & others are able to mod
this sim & keep things up to date.

You all do great work ! Thanks! (Y) (B)
Well we can't actually simulate no-refueling still, but we can do a pretty good imitation.

Amazing the amount of thought you folks have put into it.

I also meant to say regarding both your 2014 mods
Of course the laptop was to be expected to be light size wise
But even your hi definition CSM mod is quite light size wise which is nice.

I am now running a 120gb SSD so am always looking at size just in case
& was pleasantly surprised by the size of your mods.
Thanks (Y)
