BRASILIA - With the punctuation in the national driver's license (CNH) blown up, the world-wide Formula 1 champion Nelson Piquet was removed from the streets as to not put at risk the life of the other several drivers. To return to driving, Piquet is frequenting a course of "recycling" in the Detran of Brasilia. The former-pilot frequented the lesson next to his wife, Viviane, between 14h30m and 17h30m, dividing the room with others 20 pupils.
The direction of the Detran of Brasilia did not give details of the punishment to Piquet, but the Brazilian Code of Transit (CBT) foresees the disability of the license, for a period of one the twelve months, when the driver accumulates more than 20 points in fines in a period of twelve months. Also the driver punished for defined infractions can have the suspended CNH as most serious (seven points), as excess of speed above 50% of the allowed one in the street.
