Hi guy's,

I am attempting to install Grand Prix 3 onto my Windows 7 64 bit and I am not sure if I need to do more than just install and load the game, Ive tried it already and got it load but it runs very slow on a decent level of detail and have removed in the hope someone can help me do it properly? I have 8GB ram, a Radeon HD 6870 GPU and an i5 660 3.3ghz Processor, if that helps at all. I can play F1 2015 at 30-40 fps so puzzled as to how an old game runs so slow? Im not mega techy haha cheers all. New here to so hey to you all! Oh can GP4 work on Windows 7? Cheers,

Henry

here, gp3 runs flawless on win7/64 (because I have 512MB dedicated VRAM on my notebook)
so on machines with no extra videoRAM you only can play the game in Software-Mode (reach SW-mode inside gameoptions->grafics->change Adapter)

no prob with gp4 on win7

these steps could help you:

1... Shutdown with ATI-Controlcenter:
all ! graficcard-features like Antialiasing/Anisotropic Filtering/Thread optimization/Texturefiltering/Shadercache/etc...
Make this settings work for Gp3_2000.exe!

2... give "GP3_2000.exe" (in gamedir) admin-rights by rightclick and check the file as WinXP-SP2-compatible

....................
many people reported the same lack of framerate when in HW-mode -only solution for them was runnning a WinXP-partition and install the game there.
I never heard that the game didn´t run in SW-mode..

I hope others know more than me, sorry

I've tried all the admin rights stuff and have no idea how partition the XP thing, some people can run it on W7 clearly without SW mode...[www.youtube.com]
