Running GP3 2000 on windows 8.1?

Is that possible? installed GP3 v1.13 and i had PO at 500-900%.

dont know if its been asked before...hehe.

short: shut down all(!) graficcard extensions (antialiasing, etc)

haha sorry, tried searching but couldnt find anything...only win7

how do i shut down all that?

ATIcard: use "Catalyst"
NVidia: use NVidia-Systemtray
&
(I think there´s no difference to win7)

still nothing...in software its running with 9% po...in hardware were back to 500-1000% =/

did you start the .exe in winxp-sp2-mode?
(rightclick it and set compatibility)

yes..

not sure about the graphics settings in windows..

turn everything off, gp3 is to old for every grafic-technic..(use progies I mentioned)
read older threads..

Just an idea, I didn't tested it : did you try to install the game elsewhere than in Program Files (x86) or whatever its name is ? (ie D:\GP3)

i uninstalled the "old" copy of GP3 and reinstalled it on D drive, all i got was, at best the PO was down to 360ish % for the left kink at Hungaroring in the calibration test... =/
i´m lost on what to do hehe...

As for me, I've been installing XP on dual-boot when I get fed up of trying to make it run smoothly in Seven.
Maybe your solution as well unless someone else can tell you how he managed to make it run on win8.

eric is right, give it a try! for all the mods should be 20GB of space for the partition enough. good luck!
