Yeah he released quite a few on this site but of course by now the links are long gone! If you have got it, that would be greatby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Thanks, I'm not sure that's a hi-res version though as the wad file size and texture sizes are all smaller than other standard versions of Montreal released since 2004. I'll have a look through all the textures though, just in case any have been upgraded to hi-res!by neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Great, thanks for the reply, much appreciatedby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Hi Just wanted to ask if anyone has the Hi-res version of Montreal, released by Caelen way back in 2004, or any other hi-res version of the track. I checked the Hega updates but unfortunately Montreal isn't among them thanks in advanceby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
We are fortunate that brilliant cars are released every year, but sadly new tracks or track updates are pretty rare over the last few years. I imagine they take a lot of time to create. I imagine even the official F1 game won't have Madrid for a while yet!by neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Another great car Arnaud, thank you, - the grid is almost complete already!by neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for the quick fix Les Much appreciatedby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Hi Les, the RB looks good but I think there is a mapping issue on the rear wing endplates, both the RB and Wings of Life logos aren't showing correctly, parts of both logos are missing. Also I don't think the main rear brake lights are showing up in game on both the RB and the Redbull. Not sure if anyone else has noticed these minor issues, - unless my eyes are playing tricks on me!by neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
With gp4 tweaker, select onboard camera position and then select tv camera from the drop down options - which gives you x,y and z numbers. to move the view down, lower the y figure and to move the helmet position back, reduce the z figure. Is that what you mean Jurgen? - apologies if it's something elseby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Redbull looks great Les but I have noticed one thing, - from midway through last season and for this season, the Gate logo on the rear wing and nose cone no longer has the IO part at the endby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Thanks again Arnaud, amazing workby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Hi Arnaud thanks for your help again, yeah I do normally create a new wad file for each update but I think I was so focused on getting the wheels to work and understand H&W tweaker, that I think I did amend a wheel texture and just updated the wad. I have managed to get everything working again, I guess it's just a case of getting everything done in the right order to keep the progby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Hi Arnaud Well the tyres and wheels were working until I updated my cars.wad to add the 2026 cars - opened H&W tweaker, unticked and ticked the enable individual wheel shape - and now the game crashes again! Is anyone else having difficulty with this? I'm reverting back to last seasons wheels unfortunately, to get the game running againby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Hi Arnaud, thanks for the additional help As I mentioned, I have now got the wheels and tyres working, I'm not really sure what I did differently this time, - maybe copied the new cars.wad into the GP4 folder at the correct stage of the installation or I did notice that even though I created a "wheels" folder inside the H&W tweaker folder, the programme saved the car wheel lby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Hi Arnaud I think I've followed your guide correctly but the game still crashes with an error just before it fully loads a track. Is it possible to use the rims and treads with the original wheel lods and just use one shape, (I know some textures would need amending) - just to get the game running again? While I work out what I'm doing wrong Tried it again from scratch and thisby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Great work again Arnaud, 2026 releases coming thick and fast! Thanks as always for sharing your workby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Both of those 2026 cars look great, hopefully Aston Martin/Honda can improve soon and Fernando isn't shouting "GP2 engine" again!!!by neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Hi Kev, it looks like the new 2026 helmets on the Overtake website are no longer compatible with the Real helmet ACSPRH v2 shape as they are based on a new VRC design by Theofilos. The main part of the helmet looks ok but the wing section and visor section don't display correctly unfortunately. Typical of F1, nothing stays the same for too long!by neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
I can see the first render of the Audi but the other 3 images still show "content not viewable in your region"by neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
According to Reddit, Catbox is mentioned a few times or Imgbox, not really sure as I've never heard of this issue before. Seemingly it's due to online safetyby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Hi Arnaud No the link also says "content not available in your region" looks like it's to do with Imgur access in the UKby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
It's a shame that it seems a lot of us can't see the screenshots now and get "Content not viewable in your region" instead, - very frustrating!!by neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
If you want to, you can send me a couple of your pitstands with all the textures by pm and I'll have a look at them and load them into one of my tracks to see what results I get and what the issue might beby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
I think sometimes when cars disappear and re-appear, it might have to do with the number of cameras included in the track and the sectors they cover, (there might be a minimum number required??). I seem to remember the Bahrain track had that issue on the long straight leading up to the last corner and adding an additional camera fixed the issue. Might be a possibility anyway!by neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Hi Augusto thanks for your message - sorry to hear you're having issues. I've sent you a PM just in case you can receive them but not send out Hope the issue is resolved soon anywayby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Hi Paulo thanks for the reply, I was just wondering if there was a way to save the output folder path details so you don't have to configure it every time you open Slimtex. Not exactly a major thing but it would just save a bit of time!by neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
I'm hoping someone can help with an issue with the Slimtex programme in Zaz tools - Is there a way to set a default folder for saving texture files to when you convert them from TGA files - or do you have to keep specifying the folder each time you open Slimtex? I'm sure in the past the programme did save the folder details but that seems to have stopped recently for some reason!by neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Hi Kev No it's just that I don't use any mods but would appreciate having the fixed car lods released if possibleby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Hi Kev Will the fix for the cars and their rear wings (which I had noticed as well), be available for those who don't use mods? Will the fixed cars be released separately?by neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
Another great release Arnaud, high quality as always, thank youby neilcaine - Grand Prix 4
