Overtaking does not make a good race.by Zyklef - F1

So Senna, if Mini's boring then maybe you should actually see what clips you posted, half of which were from the past 5 years of F1by Zyklef - F1
Barrichello was good enough to be champion, he finished 2nd in the championship twice, now imagine if in those 2 years Alex Yoong would have been driving the Ferrari instead of MS, no doubt Barrichello would have dominated the championship.by Zyklef - F1
Verstappen was fantastic when he was at Arrows in 2000/01. The only other years I saw him in F1 were 1998 and 2003 where he was at least solid if unspectacular.by Zyklef - F1
Aye, a few years back (2001 maybe, seems to stick out for me) they announced team's could begin to choose their numbers again (but this time only up to 23 so there were no 'gaps' but a couple of week later then decided to stick with the championship positions format. I'm not exactly sure when this was but it'll be buried somewhere in the FIA press archive.by Zyklef - F1
I think most of the new tracks are pretty good to be honest. For the most part I think that most of the best tracks are old ones and most of the worst tracks are. The newer circuits sit in the middle for me so I'd rather see the crap old tracks go before any of the Tilke ones. And for me Imola is first on that list! :Pby Zyklef - F1
Yeah, wasn't he 3rd in the championship by the time they got to Canada in 1997?by Zyklef - F1
True, I think 2003 was the first season that Sauber had Ferrari engines from the same year. Previous to that it had always been last seasons engines that they were given.by Zyklef - F1
Alesi all the way! Shame he's not in F1 anymore. It's all down to Trulli now, although out of the top guys I do root for Alonso. I think when it comes down to teams I tend to support the ones that my favourite drivers are driving for, that and Minardi until they dissapeared too.by Zyklef - F1
Hey guys, I've been following the series pretty much all season, anyway I'm gonna be cheeky and just say it'd be great if someone had a spare seat for next year that I could steal (I have an easy to paint helmet!). If not, that's cool, I'd just like to say you're all doing a good job because it's interesting to read it all every race.by Zyklef - Grand Prix 4
If any of you guys had the original Formula One or Formula One 97 games by Psygnosis, there was a special bonus track in the shape of an F1 car and it was absolutely fantastic to drive. I think it should be made for real. Anyone else know what I'm on about?by Zyklef - Grand Prix 4
Well I've done a bit of research (yes I have way too much time on my hands) so here we are, this should be a comprehensive list of all the third drivers and how many times they performed the duty since 2003. 2003: Jaguar: Jordan: Baumgartner (2), Motoyama (1), Wirdheim (1) Minardi: Bobbi (1), Bruni (5) Renault: McNish (15), Montagny (1) 2004: BAR: Davidson (18) Jaguar: Wirdheimby Zyklef - F1
Toyota and BAR didn't run 3rd drivers in 2003. I believe there was Renault, Jaguar, Jordan and Minardi who signed up to run the Friday tests, although I'm not sure how often Minardi and Jordan ran with 3 cars. I do know that Renault also ran Montagny at France.by Zyklef - F1
Don't forget that 3rd drivers were also allowed during 2003 for those Friday test sessions that some teams signed up for.by Zyklef - F1

Spa 2001 was stopped about 7 or 8 laps in. The Monaco incident that Matt is referring to was in 2000 on the first lap when a couple of the backmarkers had a tangle at Loews and totally blocked the track. As far as my memory serves me think Brazil 2003 was the last race to be red-flagged after half distance, Belgium 2001 was the last to be stopped after more than two laps and restarted and I'by Zyklef - F1
lol, they're clearly laughing at this very caption competition. :Pby Zyklef - F1
There's also a high-speed server on Microsoft's website. I shall return with the link in a matter of minutes. Edit:by Zyklef - Other Games
I think he's given DC a good run for his money, lest we forget that when he retired in Monaco he was infront of DC.by Zyklef - F1
OK guys I had a quick play with the demo and you would be surprised with what you can run it on. My computer is a crapbox and it managed to run it at 12 fps with most sliders towards the minimum end (and even then it looked nearly as good as FS2000 on my machine). For reference my specs are: 2.8 GHz Celeron processor 256 MB RAM (DDR2 I think, not really up on computer things these days) 64by Zyklef - Other Games
No experienced driver? Heidfeld's in his 7th F1 season now!by Zyklef - F1
Lol, lucky you! I'll probably be playing in about 5/6 months. Ah well, back to FS2000! *Must remember to buy USB joystick*by Zyklef - Other Games
The 2006 chassis are only limited to Lolas and Reynards because there's no other chassis that have been built.by Zyklef - Other Motorsports
I agree with Muks, he could have easily thrown it off the road if he was careless. I thought MS had Alonso rattled but his performance in Hungary proved me wrong, this lap was probably one of the best opening laps ever, especially given that he didn't get as good a start as he would have wished.by Zyklef - F1
AFAIK there are 2 versions, Standard and Professional. Professional contains the SDK and a few extra features but I believe both versions will contain DX10 enabled features once Vista arrives, either on the disk or as an additional download. So you can buy it in October for XP and then if you upgrade to Vista and DX10 next year it will be a free download at most.by Zyklef - Other Games
Well I remember a couple of people in here having FS2004, so I guess this may be of interest to them. Me thinks it's time to get a new computer.by Zyklef - Other Games
It was saturday qualifying, but saturday was dry. Friday was wet and Raikkonen got 6th. Speaking of which, Bridgestone hardly dominated that session. Each tyre company had 5 cars in the top and bottom halves of the field so it was pretty even.by Zyklef - F1
What he's saying is that the grip of the track is always the same, the only thing that differs is how wet it is. So if the track is all the same wetness, it will have the same grip everywhere. If there's a dry line appearing, the drier sections will be grippier.by Zyklef - Grand Prix 4
