I have the demo on cd, I think I got it with TIR and it sucks as there is only keyboard control support ;-/ Otherwise it looks ok. I'm trying to get v8 supercars into SCGT in the meantime.by mortal - Off-Topic
If you want to quit smoking try Zyban, there are some nasty side effects like hives and insomnia, extreme agitation etc. but what's a few weeks of side effects compared to your improvement in health and of course think of the money you will save. I was once a pack a day smoker and getting on Zyban 3 years ago was the best thing i ever did. I figure that over a 30 year habit I have funded tobby mortal - F1
Note that msconfig/startup is used only to edit which programs will load to your system on startup , it has nothing to do with your registry, probably only useful if you think that you have too many applications loading and using up resources that could be used by gp4, given that you have 700mb+ of ram I doubt that you will need it.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
Welcome, use the start/run menu, type in regedit, if you have a default installation search for infogrames entries and delete them. What OS are you using? WinME? XP? There have been posts on crash fixes by Morbid recently for these OS. Maybe there is some useful info there. Are you using the correct decrypted no_cd exe for your patched version? Cleaning out your registry is only useful if you dby mortal - Grand Prix 4
Uninstall the driver, reset to standard pci graphics adapter. Re-install and test with earlier driver version. Try 21-* and 29-* Use only WHQL certified The latest nvidia drivers causes my system to hang on load-up ;-/by mortal - Grand Prix 4
As well as a helmet and gloves you also need a fan strategically placed to create the illusion of wind, don't forget to turn it off when you enter the pits Haven't seen Nuclear Rodent for a while? Been in hiding through a nuclear winter maybe? Cheers.by mortal - Grand Prix 4

Yes ok, I have been there, but I don't get a tada I get just the y axis and when I try to set another it will not allow it. There is no way I can get separate axis. This must now be considered a bug in the 9.6 patch. All I need is the infogrames email and I will let them know. <sigh>by mortal - Grand Prix 4
Can you please explain this irz? Even better display a screenshot that shows where in the setup menu this irz can be found. TIAby mortal - Grand Prix 4

Nvidia chipset is the way to go, MX is good If you can buy direct from a wholesaler and you will save some dollars, make sure it has at least 64mb of ddr on-board. GP4 has the rather amazing ability to perform radically differently on almost identical systems, drivers and your o/s might have something to do with that but you never know GP4 is like that, a right pain in the butt sometimes! But Iby mortal - Grand Prix 4
Paddy D, have a look for the threads x,y and z (morbid) here and also this one here, calling all thrustmaster owners at Dave, in my advanced options there is only one axis available to choose from and it is of course the wrong one, no other axis can be chosen. As I have said before in the Windows Controller Options the pedals are set to separate, therefore gp4 should by rights see them as separby mortal - Grand Prix 4
It's also the first, and you saw it here, nice one Ellisby mortal - Grand Prix 4
No season update has been released for the patched version as far as I know.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
F9 in gpx_patch will take a screenshot I think try it, the screenie should appear in the screenshots dir, subdir of gpxdata dir ok. as for your problem, I think your card cannot render bump mapping, that's a guess.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
Once again Boomy, Take the v1 exe and rename it to old_gp4.exe. Ok you got that, rename the v1 decrypted no_cd exe. Now that it is renamed place it into the gp4 dir. This is the gp4 dir that is now using a patched exe or a patched decrypted exe. Open gp4master. In the config setup box tell gp4master to use the old_gp4.exe. Too easy. Now gp4master sees an exe that has the correct byte size and wilby mortal - Grand Prix 4
Boomy, If you do not have it already download the decrypted exe for the un-patched gp4 which is v1. Rename this gp4.exe to "gp4_old.exe", insert it into the gp4 dir and point gpmaster to it. Now gpmaster will work.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
bene grazie and I have tried all of that without success, I have restored the exe to the v1 no_cd (pre-patch) As a bonus I have gpx backby mortal - Grand Prix 4

Don't know why but for some strange reason all my views in Explorer ar "as a web page" How do I set it so that all are not like this? TIA (wtf) how did that happen?by mortal - Off-Topic
the bink file belongs in the gp4 installation folder, check if it's there b4 you do a re-install. Check if gp4 still runs without the no_cd exe, ie: use the patch exe and test. This way you will determine if the no_cd exe is good or notby mortal - Grand Prix 4
Rename the old 1.0 decrypted gp4.exe to "gp4_old.exe" Point gp4master to this file and viola, you have fooled gp4master into believing it is using a valid exe. That is all you need to do. Too easy ehby mortal - Grand Prix 4
you must have the patch installed, but thanks anyway Nunoby mortal - Grand Prix 4
Lucky you, I can't even get my Thrustmaster Wheel to work with the new patch ;-/by mortal - Grand Prix 4
Gee that's what I call a pretty drastic solution, you must have been having major issues to go to that sort of trouble I did that recently when I installed a new mobo but I have two HDD's so a full backup of C's data was easy to do first. At least it worked. Were you o'clocking maybe?by mortal - Grand Prix 4
