Many thanks for your help to both of you @n00binio and @JCaranti. My RPi 4 has Bookworm 64 bits as OS. After applying the 4GB patch to the vanilla and 2022 mod standalone, I noticed a big improvement playing with the same f1graphics.cfg from a few comments above. I just disabled "Draw particles" in both main and mirror views. Only in specific situations as race starts, PO is abby lorak - Grand Prix 4

My f1graphics.cfg file is here. Currently, this is the best I have to make Grand Prix 4 playable on a Raspberry Pi 4 (4GB RAM). Stuttering appears, especially in races when 4, 5 or more cars are on screen at the same time. A Raspberry Pi 4 is a low-end computer. Any other tweak you could suggest to try to have a bit more smooth gameplay?by lorak - Grand Prix 4

In f1graphics.cfg "enable mirrors" is set to 1. Cockpit camera: I see the mirrors. On-board camera: I see no mirrors. How can I see the mirrors driving with the on-board camera?by lorak - Grand Prix 4

By the way, I notice issues with the tires. It seems that there are extra white, yellow and red circular lines on the tire surface in addition to the normal circular lines on the side. Maybe it is happening as I am not running it through the launcher as you said before.by lorak - Grand Prix 4

@ JCaranti, Turbo Lover, thanks for the tips. I am pretty close to find optimal settings for f1graphics.cfg allowing to pleasantly play Grand Prix 4 on a Raspberry Pi 4.by lorak - Grand Prix 4
Are all the pictures you post with the cars, screenshots from the game? Just curious. In any case, excellent job with the updated cars, already done and upcoming.by lorak - Grand Prix 4

I assume that "inst-gpxpatch452.exe" installs the minimum core files of .net 6.0 among others to actually be able to play Grand Prix 4. Bby lorak - Grand Prix 4
When I try to launch the standalone 2022 mod, I got that message about dot net 6.0. Although, if I install "inst-gpxpatch452.exe" after installing the 2022 mod, I can launch the game via the GPxPatch GUI. I am actually able to play the game. By the way, I installed the 2022 mod via Wine on a Raspberry Pi 4 (4GB RAM).by lorak - Grand Prix 4
Thank you!! It works. This is not in the manual as far as I know. I also noticed that most of the number keys plus the key M, add overlays with extra information.by lorak - Grand Prix 4

Editing reflections and drawing distance of objects helped a lot limiting the Processor Occupancy (PO). Tweaking those settings allow me to enable "Pre-light track (Update track lighting using CPU)" improving the lighting. However, I still get noticeable slowdowns in races when a yellow flag appears. I suspect this happens as the track map appears on screen in those situations (yellow fby lorak - Grand Prix 4

Any advice for the game settings to try to optimize performance? I just was changing the screen resolution. Here are the main features of my Raspebrry Pi 4: 1) Processor: Broadcom BCM2711. 2) CPU: ARM-Cortex A72 (four cores). 3) CPU capabilities: 64-Bit. 4) CPU frequency: 1.5/1.8GHz. 5) GPU: Broadcom VideoCore VI 600MHz. Grand Prix 4 detects this card as an NVIDIA GeForce 6800. 6) SDRAby lorak - Grand Prix 4
I noticed that Grand Prix 4 plays much more smoothly without overclocking the Raspberry Pi 4 and at the lowest resolution (640x480). It should work much better on a Raspberry Pi 5.by lorak - Grand Prix 4
