I need a little help. I'm trying to figure out mapping so I can fix the garage walls as shown below. Some of the garage walls are reversed at these 2003 (orig order) tracks: Interlagos, Magny Cours, Sepang & Suzuka. What's the trick? I've tried to back into it using 3D Editor 7.9 but I'm not having any luck. Any help is, as always, greatly appreciated.by mudshark - Grand Prix 4
thanks for taking the time to send it - it's appreciatedby mudshark - Grand Prix 4
The only thing I see in the readme refers to: "I added the FIA's garage replacing the 11th team then everybody can replace it by your own team. Just replace this files for: GARAGE: melbourne2001_page_252.tex melbourne2001_page_253.tex" These tex files are the two Jaguar garage walls. If those are changed to "Arrows" then what do we do with Jaguar? Sby mudshark - Grand Prix 4
Does anyone have a Hi Res helmet to fit the new shape for Felipe Massa? I think I've got all of the others - just need that one to round out the set. Thanks -by mudshark - Grand Prix 4
Great track - but how can I use my "Arrows"? The Arrows garage is now Parc Ferme. Will you have a garage for the 11th team on future tracks?by mudshark - Grand Prix 4
@Spike02 - mine is 19.1 kb, yours is 18.0 kb. Is that really going to make a difference...........??by mudshark - Grand Prix 4
@shuttle - thanks for the tip on lo2k's 3D Editor - it worked just fine. My version of GP4 Genius is 1.0, so that explains it. @Steve Morse - what screen res are you running? My sig pic image is 320x120, which on my screen is pretty small, certainly no larger than many others.by mudshark - Grand Prix 4
I can use a little help from the experts - When attempting to open some carshapes in Z-modeler, I get the following message: Filter Message Error importing / exporting file: Can't read this file Possible caused by: File is locked or has an invalid header I saw a thread somehwere that references opening the file first in GP4 Genius. I can load a carshape in GP4 Genius OK, but the option tby mudshark - Grand Prix 4
@fongu - how did you fix the brakedisc problem? did you just rename car_parts.tex to hi-car_parts.tex in the wad file?by mudshark - Grand Prix 4
Cars look great - brake discs don't work - just get a white patch.by mudshark - Grand Prix 4
@MarioB - OK, I think I know what you're saying. We'll give it a try tonight and I'll let you know. Again thank you! later tonight It's slow going, but I've got it - you have a lot more patience than I do! I'll be playing with this for days. Thanks for all of your help. @MarioB - i really didn't understand your question, what do you mean with bay In the "old" garage, the toolbox at the back of the garage is two sections across (wide). The tex file that is attached to the object is used twice. In your "new" garage, the toolbox is three sections across (wide). The tex file that is attached to the object is used three times. @MarioB The new boxes (Ferrari, williams, Sauber, Bar, Jaguar and Toyota) have all larger sizes. That's very simple to, just use Texresizer from Lo2k. got it - thanks Actualy that's the easy part, the difficult part is the number of textures used by gp4 circuit-file. For example in the first pic of the bar-box from fongu, you can see the original boxes used 2,5 times one texture. Wby mudshark - Grand Prix 4
@MarioB I have several garage tgas that are the old sizes of 256x128 (x2) for the sides, 128x128 for the back wall, and 32x32 for the toolbox. If it is possible to utilize the larger 512x256 (x2) for the sides, I will make some for my fictional team. If I try to put larger (512x256) tgas into the game using GP4 Master to convert the tgas into the tex (downsample, etc.), and then put the tex fby mudshark - Grand Prix 4
Very nice work What are the chances of getting the old Arrows garage resized so it will take the larger, higher-res tex files? That way those of us who use that slot for "our" team can have a better garage. Thanks for all of your great work -by mudshark - Grand Prix 4
Does cameditor 6.6 swap the garages, pit crews and pit stands along with the cars?by mudshark - Grand Prix 4
Larry - I thought of that, but if that were true, why would NR2003, F1C & GP3 all work great? Also, I used to run a MS Wheel out of the same USB port and it worked great for GP4 - just no FF and cool MOMO logo ....hate to think about going back Steve - I've tried both ways - same result. I normally run with the latest & greatest GPX Patch. Thanks Post Edited (11-18-03by mudshark - Grand Prix 4
All drivers are the latest. Unchecked "show tool tips" in the workshop - nothing. It doesn't crash - just stays black. Then I Alt + Tab to get out. Maddening.................. Any help is, as always, greatly appreciated.by mudshark - Grand Prix 4
I just picked up a new Logitech Momo Force Feedback Wheel and now GP4 will not start. I get a black screen and that's all. The new wheel works great with GP3 F1C and NR2003, and GP4 still works when I disconnect the new wheel. Has anyone else had these problems?by mudshark - Grand Prix 4

After spending endless hours this past year working on spinning logos for team artwork, and coming up with an admittedly mediocre product at best - this new tool is absolutely amazing. You are to be congratulated for excellent work. THANKS !!by mudshark - Grand Prix 3
wow - that's an expensive program! Is there a cheaper way to get a decent render?by mudshark - Grand Prix 4
great looking cars! btw - how do you get the picture with the mirrored texture underneath? Is that a photoshop technique or do you use another program / carviewer?by mudshark - Grand Prix 4
I have all info in an excel file - country / track by year, event order and track length. I'm not sure where I picked it up, but it's got everything. E-mail me and I'll send it out.by mudshark - Grand Prix 3
