Probably not unfortunately. It is miles from finished and hasn't been worked on for the best part of a year. After CART Factor we stopped doing free modding work. Too much time, very little reward.

1 person would pay for it, the rest would just give it away and put it on rapidshare. That's how the sim racing community works now days. The first comments on NFS:Shift were "Can we rip stuff from it?".

So what is RLD going to do, if they've abandoned free modding? After CART Factor was released, pretty much all I've played on rF is that. It's that good.

We're pretty much done with it. We've finished CART Factor. Six.Degrees is putting together a portfolio, and I'm not planning on doing anything at all. It was a ridiculous amount of work, for very little back.

Than NFS thing I can undesrand after trying the demo. Game looked good, but handling was something like in GRID.

Amount of work done with hq mods I can beleave, but also this makes me wonder why there is so less single car mods? Corvettes, Supra, Toyota Levin, BMW Sauber cars and few other ones have been really great mods, but still there is more and more big projects with tons of cars and project beeing stopped because of losing motivation before starting to make last one of all cars.

It isn't the fact that NFS handles badly that is the problem. It is the communities lazyness in creating new content, and the communities willingness to do anything to get hold of any dodgy mods. What worries me more is certain "respected" mod groups are using a bunch of leached content, and nobody gives a toss. MMG do it every time. Enduracers Porsche is from one of the NFS games. Why should the good teams bother trying when anyone can come along and create that kind of thing?

Back in the GPL and SCGT days the community was full of respect and quality, original work. Now days nobody does quality work and nobody does original work...and nobody cares.
