It's at the bottom of this page: [www.xbox360achievements.org]

It does look very interesting indeed...

So, has anyone tried the demo?

In my honest opinion its awful... again.

I'll be sticking with GP4 for the considerable future.

I can't see any differences from 2011 at all

Apparently they have removed Championship mode as well...

How can you have an F1 game without that? Pretty ridiculous. It's be like not being able to play a season as a certain team on Fifa.

Masters of code they are not.

Actually the feature they've taken out is "champions mode" which was visible on that video.... it was a feature where you had to race against all previous champions. The "Championship Mode" is still there.

But I agree, it looks the same as the last one.

What are the new features? (Besides the young drivers' test, which I don't give a @#$%& about) ?

I don't really know what you CAN put in. GP2, perhaps?

I remember the last one had a salary...maybe that could actually be used for something, like for stuff in a helmet designer thing. Or to set up your own team?

What else do people want....?

The problems with 2011-

Stupid, f*****d up "penalty" system.

AI speed was too slow for anyone half decent, you can beat the Red Bull in a HRT.

........

The changes they needed to make for 2012-

New cars and tracks (track graphics)

Improve AI speed/Slow human speed.

Penalty system rectified.

The 2011 game in terms of car handling etc was spot on, I enjoyed/enjoy driving it every time, only thing is halfway through 2012 you're still playing a game with 2011 cars lool.

They've made it a 2012 game with 2012 cars & tracks, appears ai's are quicker and humans are slower, also it appears penalties have been changed.

WHAT ELSE DO PEOPLE WANT/SEEM TO EXPECT from this release.............

It never will be a pure sim, but 2011 was perfect in terms of driving & online (when you have clean racers - not codies fault that there are so many c****s out there)

The demo was going alright - I was insulted by the micky mouse "learn to control the car" jazz but I tolorated it.

First race at Monza - Kovalainen clipped my wheel and I got a penaltly.

Turned demo off.

I will not be buying this game.

Codemasters have failed us all.

Agreed, penalty system is now stupider. If that's a word.

Is it just me, or are the f1 games by Codemasters just getting worse? I suggest a little thing called competition... get geoff, EA sports, Ubi Soft, psygnosis (Sony SE) et al on the game making like the 90s, Some great f1 games made in that time. So far, Codemasters only seem to go for graphics, rushed half asked game. And this is from the guys who made Colin Mcrae Rally (awesome game).....

I think you'll find this is the problem with a single licence holder - they have no incentive to improve things just because a minority* of sim-oriented racers complain. In the past, there was a decent spectrum of games from hardcore (Geoff Crammond series) to not-so-hardcore (EA) to basically arcade.

* Let's be honest, probably 90% of the people who buy this game will be all "ZOMG IT ARE SO REAL BECAUSE IT LOOKS GOOD!!11!"

I know, but I just despair.

If they are the sort of people that F1 is now attracting to its games then I think something's going hideously wrong. It's supposed to be the echelon of motorsport and the sims/games should reflect that.

Instead we just have this barely driveable, uncustomisable horseshit which is the biggest waste of a license I've ever seen.

Such a damn shame, they really talked the talk. Guess we'll have to wait another decade or so before someone pulls their finger out. TBH I wish someone would just release a properly made open-seater fantasy racer. I'd be a happy bunny.

What is rFactor 2 like? Not that my PC could even load the main menu.

So yeah, racing in Monaco with the Caterham on Legend difficulty, driving the life out of my car, do my pit in, racing Button for 5th, (don't ask, great car setup) i take my pitstop and am end up behind a massive group on softs... whilst they're all coming into the pits, that damn grosjean suddenly brakes to get into the pits and I get disqualified...... The penalty system they have in place again is shocking....

Its far better than the 2011 which was just stupid.

At least in the 2012 game the car has some grip and you can throw it around.

My biggest gripe yet again are the brakes, you cannot brake late or you just go off!

Other than that the game is a lot faster in terms of actually getting to events, there is none of this stupid 20 menus before you get to the event.

So yes its better but its still an arcade game.

i think the brakes are quite realistic. in grand prix 4 the brakes are way too easy, and you can pass too easily just by braking very late, even with locked up brakes. you can lock up every turn and not damage your tyres.

I am now playing F1 2012 on pc. i love it, it took a while to work out steering wheel settings, and pedals. i like the drs and kers.

its the first time i have played an f1 sim since gp4 that i have enjoyed. i tried f1 2010 2 years ago, and thought it was crap, especially the way you couldnt drive over kerbs. all the problems seem to be fixed, and i love the dirty air effect driving behind another car.

Set up properly, it is a great simulation, and tricky to get consistent good times, but rewarding when you do.

Also the graphics are great.

I find this game the best for what i have been looking for, something that can be a modernised gp4. I love the way the grip feels, its more realistic then the on rails gp4, it is more of a challenge to get right, and when you do it feels great!

whatever you do, do not play it with gamepad or keyboard, then you really are just playing an arcade game.

penalty system isnt that good, but better then gp4.

I sense a lot of hatred in peoples comments, because it is codemasters and because f1 2010 had heaps of physics faults. i suspect some havent even played f1 2012 and they will bag it anyway.

Give it a proper go, with settings properly customized. it is a great 2012 f1 experience.

I had played all them titles my favorite is 2010 but it is a real pain to drive with keyboard! When 2011 was released I favorited it ast the best but not for too long. The new steering was just horrible for keyboard and the graphics were like in F1 comics. 2012 on the other hand demands too many resources from my poor laptop so I decided to remain with F1 2010. Nowadays Im modding 2010 to run on slow PC's and I have a progress wow! But if we talk about gameplay....well I like more the GPx games and F1C. Codemasters just can't make a true F1 simulators - FACT!

It was way more enjoying to make my first overtake in GP4 rather than my first win in F1 2010. But thanks to 2010 now I have a way more careful driving in all other simulators.

The old classics will be always better than the newest games.
