Finnish people

I want to visit Finland. Can you recommend any particular places I should be going to? Even if it's just for a weekend or something.

What's to see?

Rovaniemi, Lahti, Savonlinna and Helsinki are places I'd like to visit again.

Helsinki is definately the place to visit if you are staying in Finland just for a weekend. Another Good place would maybe be our previous capital, Turku, which is 2 hours train trip away from Helsinki. If you are staying longer, take a cruiseferry from Turku to Maarianhamina, Åland islands. The boat trip takes six hours, and you can experinece beatiful finnish archipelago on your way. The ticket should be only about 10 euros. From Maarianhamina you can take ferry to Stockholm and then fly back to UK from there.

How on earth you have Lahti on that list? I have always thought of it as one of the uglies cities of Finland. :P (Disclaimer: I have only visited there once, and it was in the middle of the winter, and it was very dark.)
