on my cover, Hysteria is track 7, and Interlude is track 8 (wrong way round).

Libertines - Can't Stand Me Now

Song of the decade for me.

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it

If you count Muse as indie, well. their best is quite clearly Citizen Erased, and if you say otherwise you are a crackhead.

Speaking of the Resistance, I know I said it was their second best behind OoS, but I have changed my thoughts. Honestly, that album is utter trash. It isn't Muse to me. It isn't catchy, isn't innovative, isn't funky. Bellamy is Hendrix 2.0, and he does nothing on that album that shows he can play like a beast. There isn't an awesome off kilter riff on the whole album ffs, whereas even even BHnR had a few gleaming moments of "WTF was dat? That was awesome!"

Muse aren't indie, they're signed to a major record label so cannot be an "independent " label brand

If any label was going to be used, the term progressive rock would have to be included somewhere, along with space age rock bards

Muse said during the making of resistance it was different from other albums they'd done before and was "a orchestral monster" I like how Muse try different stiff from album to album personally, there is nothing worsethan a group that play it safe and churn out albums that all sound the same, you could play Showbiz and blackholes to someone and they'd be forgiven for thinking it was 2 different bands

Citizen Erased is amazing. I'm liking OoS so much more than I did previously. However, I still think Absolution is their best album followed closely by Showbiz.

Also, welcome back, smorr!

I'll never leave msater, I just extended breaks of where I forget to point the browser at this place. lol

@ LS -

Yes, but at the core, they still had the Muse vibe. Resistance was so outlandishly different it barely even is the same group if your a fan. I like the fact they tried it, however, the next one better be going back to the roots. What was the grooviest riff on there, Uprising? Heck, Supermassive Blackhole had more groove to it. It aint Muse without the groove.

Well bad news is Matt Bellamy has said he wants future stuff to be like undisclosed desires, as it's his favourite song on the album

And for the record, I'm a massive fan and thought it was a departure from their usual stuff, but that's no bad thing as I enjoyed Resistence.

Music changes with groups ever growing with new experiences, success changes people viewpoints and opinions.

Matts all loved up at the minute with Kate Hudson so future songs will no doubt be slushy like neutron star collision is

So long as he puts a kick ass riff in there somewhere, I'm fine. ;)
