I am only focusing on ONE thing in this election, and that is Education policy. My vote will go to the party that looks best for Education.

Agree with Locke. I am thinking who is going to do best for the kids.

Frightening statistics in this day and age, I worry for the future of this nation.

Are you a teacher Locke? I am sorting out my PGCE right now into Secondary D&T :)

I am a teacher, yes. I teach in primary school but my specialist subject is D&T! :) I commend you, sir.

For the first time in the 7 years that i've been eligible, i'm actually bothering to vote. Labour have had enough time in the driving seat and apparently made things worse, so it's high time someone else had a go at sorting things out.

Which means putting David Cameron in charge. Shame he is nothing but a complete and utter tool who spends his entire time trying to be hip and cool and show that he 'gets' the lower class. He is the Vanilla Ice of British politics. He spends the entire time trying to fit in and convince people he is cool. WebCameron? F**k off you ponce.

It's a shame that they all pretty much useless morons. I think I might "accidentally" slip and spoil my vote.

Labour would maybe be slightly less evil than Conservative but they're having enough trouble simply running their own party at the moment let alone a government.

When's DELLIS standing?

The issue from my standpoint is as follows:-

Vote Labour: And have a witless moron running the country
Vote Conservative: And have a constantly-embattled Parliament meaning nothing gets done
Vote Lib Dem: And waste your vote

Vote UKIP: Generally excellent policies but run by idiots
Vote BNP: And declare yourself a racist
Vote Green: And waste your vote

Fortunately, I am one of the few privileged people in the country whose MP is actually Independent, and has been for the last 9 years. If he stands again this year, he's got a good chance of getting re-elected.

And waste your vote

I know only a little about UK politics, but I'm still going to post my unwanted opinion :P Wasting your vote should be no excuse not to vote for a certain party. That fact that you're stuck with two parties is that exact way of thinking. You should vote for a party that matches your political ideas the most, regardless of whether you think they'll make it or not. If everybody would vote for the party they agree with the most, instead of choosing either Labour or the Conservatives and forgetting about everything else (which is the impression I'm getting when I hear about UK politics, feel free to correct me and I'll shut up :P), you'd have a lot more variety in your political system.

exactly. everyone assumes (probably quite rightly) that because Labour have done so badly, the Conservatives will automatically win (which i think will happen), but if everyone who doesn't like Labour voted for someone else instead of the Conservatives, even if they still win, a 3rd option might come closer, and then next time people might realistically believe that it's a 3-way battle for power, instead of just 2-way. i've voted Green Party and UKIP the past 2 general elections.

i can't remember which comedy show it was (might have been 8 Out of 10 Cats or Mock The Week), but they showed lots of alternative Tory posters with Cameron's face on with funny slogans.

Nickv, your comments are actually very pertinent. :) And I could fight a losing battle by voting Green or UKIP, but the sad fact is that it will not change a darned thing. I, like most people in this country, may have to simply make a choice between Brown and Cameron. Which is like making a choice between stomach cancer and castration. But one of them's got to win, I may as well choose the one I'd least mind.

I shan't be voting bloody labour.

I hold them personally responsibly for stupid actions such as rewarding lazy chavs with tax benefits and free money/housing/new youth centres for sitting on their arse watching Jeremy Kyle all day, selling some drugs, shooting some people and then pissing themselves up the wall. And then letting them breed, and rewardinng that too.

I am sorry but we need to all take a big $hit over that part of this population. Africa isn't meant to be mass populated for that same reason. Survival of the fittest.

If it wasn't for us intervening, they'd probably still be a vast continent of nomadic and self sustained tribe groups.

No amount of aid will solve Africa. Geography kills it. We are the umbilical cord - the western world.

Why the hell do we need to be the lifeblood of an otherwise weak, unmotivated and frankly useless portion of our population. Chavs and families who refuse to go to school, or don't even try to get a job.

Darwin. Survival of the fittest.

Let's face it, in terms of evolution, without labour, they'd die off.

With labour, we are letting them multiply. Like bacteria. It isn't good to breed too much of a bad thing, and this country right now is not only encouraging it, but spurring it on as if it is a good thing.

Equal rights for hard done by families? Whatever happened to hard work. Good old grafting. If you can't find a place in society, then you aren't good for society.

In nature, this means you perish. Your species and your family does not live on to tell the tale. You don't cut it, you don't make it. Cruel, but fair.

Sure, the conservatives are harsh, but at least they know when to say pi$$ off if something is slowing you down. Coal miners? Anyone remember? Cruel, but fair.

My brother broke his femur again last week. Brittle bones. He had to have a major operation to correct a telescopic pin in his leg. They didn't know if he had the bone density, strength or bone matter left (from repeated snapping) to be able to re-pin it without crumbing away. The ball and socket of the hip joint was also damaged and it was unsure if the blood supply was sufficient to maintain the vessels that assisted in movement of the leg.

He was close to paralysis.

He was facing that, or a summer of sitting on his back for up to 6 months with his legs held 90 degrees to his body over a frame. Traction. Awful.

Or he could get lucky and they could re-pin it.

But you know what was on his mind? No, not breeding. (*uncertain on that one). Not free tax money. Not sitting on his ass playing computer games.

He wanted to know if and how he could finish his degree this summer; if he could attend graduation; and if he could have a few weeks extra time to finish it because he'd be drugged up in hospital for the rest of the easter term.

Screw labour. Why the hell do we need to reward people who don't even TRY?

I am happy that my tax money goes to operations that pay for things the NHS does for my little brother. But the rest of you, your tax is paying for chav drugs. Sky HD boxes. Football shirts. Cans of White Lightning.

Do you really want to do that for another 4 years? Really?

We use to be a strong willed nations. Now, not only does our nation look like a giant floppy (C)ock, we act like one too.
