A British popstar married to a footy player? I sense some sort of pattern there ...

Yep, everyone's bored of the Beckhams now so it's time to move on to the Coles. ;-)

The pattern of their relationship and rise to fame is actually remarkably similar... although AFAIK David never cheated on Victoria...

Becks had it off with Rebecca Loos in 03/04. Apparently.

In all honesty, based on looks alone, I would. :P
But, looks are all she has going for her IMO, and her transformation from popstar to UK National Obsession over the last year or so has made her pretty annoying too. I've joined the group. :)

Pages like this are why Facebook needs to be go away. I signed up for Facebook simply to help keep in touch with people, but every time I sign in I have to reject 20 offers of joining groups and games that nobody except a complete moron would ever even look at. Why would anyone join this Sausage Roll group? Do they all sit around in the chat room discussing how awesome sausage rolls are?

The overwhelming amount of crap, and the Facebook owners "@#$%& you" concerning your privacy is why I don't login anymore.

I have to agree with that sentiment, social networking sites have degenerated into craptacular banality.

At least myspace, as craptacular as it was, didn't spam and bombard you half as much.

I think its more to do with the absurdity of modern day "celebrity" and poking fun at the fact something so banal as a humble sausage roll can infact be more popular than Z list celebs like Jordan and Jade Goody and their ilk

Guys you do realise.... Companies will pick up on this, they will milk the free advertising and media, and all they need is a weeny endorsement of Cherly eating a sausage roll... and she will only make more money, and be more popular or more in the media light.

Does it work like that though?

Ive seen those sickly god awful TV adverts featuring Jamie and Louise Redknapp advertising for some Holiday company ( cant think who it is so that particular campaign didnt work on me :) ) and Ant & Dec got a lot of stick for whoring themselves out doing the Wii adverts.

Another one that stands out is the Cadbury Flake endorsement/shamelessplug/ at Anthea Turners wedding to Grant Bover that rightly got slated

Exactly. It's massively irritating and most of the time you don't even look at that page ever again. I've got one mate of mine from High School who just keeps clicking that irritating "Become a Fan" button. Plus the amount of updates facebook does is atrocious, it makes it worse at each update. FFS Facebook, get it sorted.
