John Cale, founder member of the Velvet Underground.
That's the one, Mark!

On related news, Axl Rose has released his album to the recording company to sell it

Not necessarily an improvement, but pretty @#$%& good.

@ Monil: How exactly is that an improvement? :P

Monil mate very nice

Heard this earlier, can't say I'm a Paramore fan but I'm liking this, pretty cool cover of Use Somebody

I was listening to Radio 1 last week and heard Paramore do that Use Somebody cover live. Pretty damn good, and Hayley Williams' voice is awesome. She doesn't look bad in that vid either ;)

On topic, Muse did a pretty awesome cover of House Of The Rising Sun:

Also, The Ataris did a brilliant cover of Boys Of Summer a few years back.

Oh man, this song is nostalgia gold!
I used to listen to Atlantic 252 myself in the early/mid 90s. I think I still have some cassette tapes somewhere of music I taped off of it. :D

Makes the song a little more better to my taste. I mean the Violent Hill by Coldplay for me was just poor imo.

@EC83 How can I forget that song! :o!

Oh and this

Yep, Muse have done some great covers; I love how they always do something new and creative with the song's sound.

Radio 1 are hammering that Paramore cover - they played it again this morning.

For comedy song covers, you can't beat a bit of Weird Al. :D

Amish Paradise. Oh yes! ;)
In This Moment's cover of "Call Me" is making something of a mixed impression on me. I think the chorus is an improvement, but her voice isn't strong enough to do the verses justice.
