hahaha that old williams is sponsored by 'BIN LADEN' hahaha

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it

@ Danm, i believe the 'Bin Laden' sponsor was the actual Osama Bin Laden's family business or something sponsoring the williams team back then.

(and remember the '91 Jordan? it has 'Osama' logos on it.)

its nothing to do with bin ladin of terrorism fame im afraid. Nice cars LS, but signed? i have to admit to not understanding why people buy pre signed stuff

what is the point when

A) It costs a lot more

B) you can just get em signed yourself

C) Isnt the point of getting an autograph to have got it yourself?

Why not buy presigned stuff?

Not everyone lives at silverstone like you do and gets the oppotunity to stalk the drivers ;)

Also that jackie stewart model cost less for me to buy signed that it would if i bought it from a online modelshop because i priced it up before i bid on it.

Who would'nt do what i did that collects scale F1 cars?

I have a signed photograph of sean connery as james bond, was i not to buy it simply because i'll probably never get the chance to meet him in real life and get it signed in person?

I'll be taking that rear wing endplate with to silverstone this year and getting JPM to sign it personally hopefully, but to be honest lumping it round with me all day will be a pain in the arse!, so i'm hardly likely to take a rucksack full of model cars to get signed am i?

You went for the 1:43 bentley? Mistake IMO! The 1:18 Autoart one is stunning! Simply amazing model. You wouldnt regret getting the 1:18 version. It puts the 43 to shame!

Funny you say that dave :)

I've been hanging my nose over the 1:18 and decided to get it next month once the decoratings finished in my PC room.

In the meantime my mate was at an historic motorsport show yesterday through the Fuel tank company he works for & he sent me a text saying he'd got me a pressie

I was expecting something like a free poster or something, then last night he and his wife turn up to see us and he hands me the Bentley model :)

Do Minichamps make the 1:18? or will i have to get the Autoart one?

My mate has just emailed me some pic from the historic show

and he gets paid for attending things like this GRRRRRR :o

He text me to start with asking if i wanted a raceframe to house my actlabs pedal set and shifter and FFB wheel, then sent me a cameraphone piccy of this photo below

Would make a rather a excellent raceframe though :)

Dunno why its got Pizzaboys name it, although i know why its got ATL on it, becasue they had it on their stand at the show ( ATL fuel cells)

some more he sent

I had that Sebring Bentley, but sent it back to get the Le Mans winner (which I originally ordered, but they sent me the wrong version):

Its missing the little Minichamps sticker from the top of the case though :(
