Over the past weeks I've been receiving more of the Dakar collection models, all with pretty amazing quality for their price (around $10 each, 1/43 scale).

Left to right: Peugeot 2008, Mini Countryman, VW Touareg, Renault/Dacia Duster, Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger and Hummer Buggy. In the back the amazing Kamaz 4326.

I need a new place to put these things, the packing is crap and totally unsuitable for exhibition. Gotta sacrifice somewhere.

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps

got the newer version of Max's 1st Win with the pitboard, and also broken/missing left nose camera like the limited edition one:

am really impressed with the fine detail on this, the little silver stays that connect the various elements on the front wing, the little hoop that i think cuts the fuel flow if pulled, they're hard to see but they're on the engine cover right in the Bull's horn. and i love the matt blue finish, nicely recreated. the only thing i'd criticise is the engine cover hole is not really a hole, it's got a black "bung" in there. also the wheel rims seems glued to the suspension, so when i tried to rotate them to align the Pirelli logo, the front tyres turned but the rims didn't. i couldn't even turn the rear ones, i feared i'd break something. the 2017 cars should look impressive.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

Nice collection, andreigp4 !
I know how hard it is to get all the champions, especially when you want models with a driver figurirne. Have you ever thought of adding the original tabacco sponsorship to some of the (older) cars the make them even more accurate?

I have been collecting the WDC cars for some time now, but I am not sure if I continue with it. I won't pay 65 Euro for Hamiltion's 2017 car and I am not at all intersted in cars wiith that Halo device...

PS: The Keke Rosberg car is a really rare item. Congratulation for getting it.

I've resigned myself to only getting the Champions each year with the sky high prices nowadays, but I couldn't resist this pair of mid-field standouts.

2018 Sauber Alfa Romeo C37 as driven by Charles Leclerc

2018 Toro Rosso STR13 as driven by Pierre Gasly in the Bahrain GP with a limited edition inlay.

Am torn about whether to get a Looksmart Ferrari...

Having spent the last couple of months staring at endless pictures of the 1994 Ferrari car for my GP4 model, I thought I'd give a mini review of some of the models I had of the B spec car.

I am increasingly dissappointed by this model from Hot Wheels/Mattel. It's the 1994 Ferrari 412T1B from the British Grand Prix (the 2nd race with the B spec car) driven by Jean Alesi. That nose is just way too big and too high, the sidepods don't sweep forward, and the logos on the sidepods are massive. I do however like the wheel rims and the engine cover isn't bad at all, but perhaps more importantly the price is not extortionate!

I did replace it with this handbuilt Tameo model a little while back, but quite a few pieces fell off in transit and I haven't had a chance to repair it yet. This is the German Grand Prix version, where Gerhard Berger took it to victory. The shape of the sidepods could be more curvy, and the rear of the engine cover looks like an after-thought, but overall, a much nicer model.

With the increase in 1994 cars from Spark and Minichamps in recent years (not including re-packaged models from 20 years ago), I hope they will revisit this one.

I've started a F1 model blog that you can find here: [fongugp4.blogspot.com]
I'll be going featuring some of the 860 odd models I've had over the years

I'm actually thinking to sell the WDC 1/43 collection and switch to 1/18 (fewer cars obv because the prices are mad). There's just smth magic about 1/18 cars.
