I think you'll find some info in the FAQ, I use TSM which shows the magic data.

Some general info on magic data:

Original GP4 stores each track's magic data inside GP4.exe.
With cmagic4 we can extract these data for each one of the 1 to 17 original tracks.

Track specific magic datas are stored inside track's *.dat file.
With cmagic4 we can add/edit/extract magic data of any track's *.dat file.

If a track does not contain any magic data, then GP4 will use the magic data stored inside GP4.exe for the slot number that this track is set.
So GP4 will use different magic data if we put a track that does not contain any magic data, in different slots.
