Top 3's what we hoped for considering the amount of perf used.

12th on the grid with a boost. Not exactly what the French team and driver were hoping for......

What? Surely I didn't! I sent my boost in as soon as I saw the boost deadline announcement and I check in here usually every day and it was up for four days. I demand an enquiry!

Unless I'm very much mistaken... I am very much mistaken!
I used a 500 point boost and qualified 11th!? Ah screw it. I am afraid to say that USA and Copeman will be parting company at the end of the season. I am fully committed until then but I want to let somebody else have a crack.

Sorry Owen i actually made a concious effort not to mess you around. What it is i saw the second message so assumed i had recieved your boost late... I did actually give you your boost which can be seen in the perf its because i read that message after running quali it threw me off. Sorry for the confusion. It seems your suffering the backlash of my stupidity at the moment...
pretty impressed with second :)

Ah, glad that's OK. Still, the boost didn't make much difference in the end, did it‽ Hopefully, it'll bring me more luck in the race.

After a few issues i have managed to get the race run and i will post it up tomorrow. Sorry for the delay busy busy life. Humdinger it was though :)
So after some delays because the race director was reported to have not made it to his bed saturday morning we have located him and can give you the race. It was a first pole of the year for McGregor who will be looking for some big points to climb up the rankings. Alpenstrom has another strong qualification to join him on the front row. We are not going to waste any more time with speculating lets get down to the grid for the start of the race

And they are go and Alpenstrom bogs down on the start and Jantsher steams past

Tafuro is another slow off the line and drops an early place to Montenegro

Copeman is another who struggled off the line under pressure from Johnson

Maverick tries to go the long way around but will not get by Jantsher

Tafuro under threat from Hunsley around the outside but he will not drop another place

Byrne shoots up the inside of Copeman but will have the outside line at 2

Girard had a great start gaining 5 places to 7th

Maverick is slow out the corner and has Silvestre and Alpenstrom all over his rear

Girard being squeezed out of the pass by Nikolov

And when switching accross cuts up Kamkiaze

Maverick is being boxed out by Silvestre after loosing the one place to Alpenstrom

He is forced wide and is now behind both men as there is a six man bunch behind them

They all make it through safely as Vukcevic looks to drive around Girard

Hunsley hits Girard but both men make the corner safely

Johnson lunges up the inside of Tafuro

De Boer and Kederer follow suit on Copeman and Antunis respectfully

At turn 1 Silvestre doesnt notice Maverick inside him and they touch

Sending Maverick into a spin leaving him in last place

Standings with the first lap out the way

Hunsley just letting Vukcevic know he is there

Byrne just accelerates around Copeman nothing more can be said about that pass

Edvardson is pushed wide trying to make his way around Antunis

Marinescu cannot reclaim the position he lost a couple of corners ago

Johnson does what he did to Tafuro on Hunsley for 9th

Vukcevic having to defend to Johnson

Johnson suffers most with both Tafuro and Hunsley either side of him

He somehow doesnt lose a place but Tafuro passes Hunsley

They are three abreast again with De Boer just stalking the action

They all get around the corner but noone passes anyone

Maverick starts his climb back up the field by passing Marinescu

Tafuro goes up the inside at turn 1 which will leave him on the outside at 2

So Johnson retains the place

And Tafuro even loses out to Hunsley for his efforts

Vukcevic and Tafuro taking defensive lines

De Boer though couldnt brake in time and touched Tafuro but both men get around

Kederer and Antunis making passes up the inside of Brilley and Edvardson

Maverick trying a bit too hard maybe hits Vilela and although Maverick is fine it forces Vilela off and into last

Tafuro trying to do what he did to Johnson to Hunsley in a attempt to make up for the last lap but to no avail

Similar result in fact for the Italian as De Boer goes past

Byrne also passes him though a bad couple of laps for Tafuro

There is a coming together between Brilley and Kederer sending the Welshman flying off the circuit

He is ok though

De Boer has Tafuro and Byrne either side of him is anyone going to flinch

Vukcevic has the inside line on Johnson but cannot keep hold of 8th

There just was not enough room at that speed as De Boer is crushed between Tafuro and Byrne

All men go off and its De Boer who comes off worst and is our first retirement today

Tafuro has some damage but can continue

Byrne rejoins with no damage

Replays show that Copeman got a little out of shape there too and ended up backwards trying to fight the spin

He takes up last place

Edvardson suddenly finds himself battling for 12th with Kederer

Vukcevic is under pressure now from Hunsley

As we head to the break rejoin us for pitstops and more action from Buenos Aires

Great, another promising race spoiled by the French driver. There goes my last chance to get back into the title fight. After the third incident with the French driver this season, I want that guy go lose his license! He simply can't drive, as no Frenchman can! ;-)

An official apology to Vilela, too for this bump. I was completely frustrated after being kicked from the points places by this Frenchman. At least we were both crawling around at the end of the field at this time so that the little bump has no that dramatic consequences.

GPGSL : Team Owner of 'Maverick Track Performance' (MTP)
Welcome back to part 2 of the race here at Buenos Aires, lets not hang about and get back to the action

Its starts already with Maverick and Antunis coming together similar to before for Maverick where both men run off together

But Maverick rejoins in 18th whereas Antunis last

Copeman is forced wide by Maverick who isnt in the mood to go backwards anymore today

Hunsley goes around the outside of Vukcevic

Girard has managed to get past Nikolov after a few laps stuck behind the Bulgarian

And Nikolov already finds himself with Johnson on his back no respite for Nikolov

Vukcevic has taken the place back from Hunsley as a queue is starting to form

Kederer has locked it up but keeps on circuit

Edvardson capitalises to take the position from him

Johnson attempting the long way around but to no avail

Marinescu passes Vilela at the same place up the inside instead

Hunsley is driven past by Vukcevic as they continue to trade places

Nikolov trying to keep Johnson at bay

Standings with pit stops to come

It is Jantsher who is first to pit

With Silvestre and Alpenstrom following in

And a bit further back Johnson and Girard

Hunsley makes his stop hoping to leapfrog Vukcevic

Jantsher comes out right in front of that group as well

Silvestre doesnt manage to pass Alpenstrom as they rejoin 9th and 10th

The french pit crew must have been sleeping as Johnson comes out in front of him

Hunsley rejoins 16th

Kederer makes his way past Silva inbetween all of this

Girard loses out to Brilley as he is trying to adjust to the fresh tyres

McGregor pits from the lead

Silva is in too

McGregor rejoins without losing the lead

Silva rejoins 14th behind Hunsley

Edvardson and Kederer are all over Vukcevic

McGregor has to defend to Kamikaze who is yet to pit and quicker right now

Patience may have been better for Kamikaze as he is now facing the wrong way

Edvardson trying to drive around the outside of Vukcevic who is having none of it

Copeman eases past the freshly pitted Silva

Nikolov, Edvardson and Kamikaze who cost himself places pit

Nikolov rejoins closer to Hunsley

As Edvardson comes out ahead of Silva and gains a place

Kamikaze will be disappointed to be all the way down in 16th

Alpenstrom passes Kederer for position although Kederer is yet to pit

Vukcevic finally pits and rejoins behind Silva

With Kederer coming out right behind him

Edvardson holds off Silva's attempt

And This finds Vukcevic cruising past him

Big gap between Jantsher and McGregor

And the standings after the pit stop

Kederer runs into the back of Silva but both men are ok

Kederer doesnt hang around too long though making a clean pass on Silva the next lap

And is already onto the back of Vukcevic sitting in the last points place

Not this time though

Kamikaze is starting to make his way back through the field

Kederer carried more pace out of the corner and drove straight by Vukcevic

Silva decides to have a go as well

And makes the succesful overtake

Time for a break with the final part to come

The final part will be up tonight since my house internet dies about now so icannot upload the race
A shame that Kamikaze couldn't hold his temper. A point finish is the most reachable.

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?
Nice race for Portugal so far, after the big disappointment after the qualify session.

Great coverage so far, but I am afraid that this race just confirms it. At the end of the season I QUIT!

Good to see Jean Girard running a nice quiet race, with minimal trouble. Hoping for a good strong haul of points!

We would like an immediate investigation after Germany rammed us off the track. They should get a penalty.
