hey everybody

hope all is well.

By any chance have you come across someone who has tried installing GP4 on Windows 7 64 bit???

I am unable to install my favourite game... do you think anyone can help?

I tried following this link,

made the 'change' in compatibility, but still unsuccessful.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ja

Hi, I'm running GP4 on Win7 64 with no issues. On the compatibility tab select 'Disable desktop composition' and 'Run this program as administrator'. You could also try changing the compatibility mode to windows XP. Hope this helps.

Yep it runs fine for me too on Seven 64bits with no particular tweak. GPxPatch may also help here for compatibility.

Also running GP4 on Win7 64 with no issues.

Did not installed at all...

Just copied all installed mods from my old PC running WinXP-SP3 to the new one.

Then I deleted files:
cards.txt
f1graphics.cfg
f1graphics.bak
... to force a new calibration of graphics and recreation of files in relation with the new graphics card.

Finally in each mod I set compatibility of GPxPatch.exe and GP4.exe to "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" and enabled 'Run this program as administrator'.

... and all mods run fine, some of them with all 4 cores!!!

to ALL the good friends here who share the same passion for GP4, I can only say one thing......

THANKS ALOT...GP4 is WORKING FINE

Only 'default' GP4 did not run...once I installed GPX Patch & ZaZ tools etc, all worked fine......

One last thing, I am running the 2011 mod, any one can help with any latest TRACKPACK?

Safe driving..but always to the limit....BUT no over the limit!

Cheers

There is no 2011 trackpack. Individual tracks can be loaded using TSM. Read the FAQ on using TSM. Also, please update your post on the Win 7 forums on using gpx patch as it may help other users. :-)
