Jorge can you comment on the results of Pau?

Jcaranti
Quote

Well i got beaten by 1 tenth by someone that had 5.0 less fuel penalty than me (i had 13.0 fuel penalty)
So i think if he had the same fuel penalty he would at least be 4 tenths behind me. :-);)
Conclusion: I WIN.

Jorge, what do you think in terms to grab the championship after 4 events? you extended your lead to 6 points
to the 2nd place driver and 9 points to the 3rd place

Jcaranti
Quote

I dont know, i take it 1 by 1. My closest rival is Supermonty and in all the events i have been quicker than him so far
but i must also say that i have a lot of fuel penalty and he very little and still their is half a season to go. Its too early to say
what will happend and anything can go wrong in any event. So like i said: i take it 1 by 1 the events.

SVR News: Hi, Supermonty, another third place !

S: Yes, i'm regular. I think its reflects my level, that's all. The two guys ahead are very fast, despite penalties, and i'm really happy to see an another win for SVR. It's good for constructor championship

SVR News: few words about Stefano ?

S: Yes, he's fantastic. Its the reference for keyboard players and despite my experience, i discover some new setups ways to catch latest 10ths of a second. Its disappointing that he wasn't engaged at Imola because he could get the championship.

SVR News: Can you win a race this year ?

S: I hope and i work hard for. We'll have a lot of power for Hockenheim, i like so much fast tracks. We have announced a main engine upgrade for germany, with all credits (1200) affected to power.

After a less than brilliant start to the season, Team Centra's AUS_Doug put in a much improved performance at Pau.

Yeah for sure it was nice to finish that high.

The taciturn Australian showed good pace all week, and was top of the time sheets right up until the closing hours.

Quote
AUS_Doug
Yeah, you know I made that one really good lap and was happy with it, but obviously it wasn't fast enough.

The competition now starts a two week break for the festive period, kicking off the new year at Hockenheim.

Quote
AUS_Doug
I'm looking forward to Hockenheim of course, is a good track that should suit the car well.

And what do you have planned over the break?

Sorry guys there'll need to be a slight delay to the start of Hockenheim as I haven't had time to do the new mod. Bear with me.

Ok, we need the pitlane open and the track. (Y)

We need the pitlane open and the track else it will be hard to do the hotlaps.

If you can not do it just tell us and we do it in the orginal Hockenheim of Gp4.

I was having a look at the track.
Im hoping that in the 2nd chicane their wont be a driver going through the green wall with the right front tyre...
with the hope that their is not something similar like the monaco event problem !!!.

Hey Guys.

Happy New year to everyone!

Had some time today to take a short trip to Hockenheimring.
Not sure if my lap is legal regarding the track borders.

Happy new year !!.

If you got 2 wheels over the white line then its good. Thats the limit.
Kerbs dont count as part of the track, at least not for hotlaps in this league but yes for racing.

Tom@Idea for season 5.
We could do a small championship 4 - 5 races. Drivers must qualify with the race setup to determine the grid order.
Once thats checked we do a race distance of 35%. Im willing to help with the file checking or other things. (Y)

Good evening from Hockenheim.

As teammate Andre had only one day to drive it was me to get into this track tonight...
I'm very suprised about Jorges time so far - may this be because of the fuel penalty!?

@TomMK: For Hungary please 20 BHP and 300 Grip (600 Dollar each).

Good luck for those who may drive on Hockenheim within the last 24h

hey Tom, Vimal gave me the permission to do these instead of him, as he doesn't have time (well neither do I but I will definetly compete again in the final event in Aragon).
Can give a post of proof if needed.

We'll be going all on grip please.

OK thanks for the updates guys.

Irritatingly, I haven't had time to set a lap here and I won't have time. Too busy with work and stuff. Sometimes real life gets in the way of my GP4 career (N) ;-(

Results for Event 5 at Hockenheim

A mixture of new and familiar faces on the podium at Hockenheim - Jorge took his 3rd win of the season in dominant style, alongside Supermonty, and they were joined by the ever-improving Porsche outfit who took a maiden podium courtesy of Lutz (Y).

Just behind was a strong debut performance from J.L.M., who took ownership of a brand new SVR Alfa V8 and used it to great effect on the long straights of Hockenheim.

Next is a very different circuit where aero performance is all-important. See you all in Hungary!

Well done everyone. (Y)

Despite having one of the more powerful cars on the grid, the long straights of Hockenheim did not yield good results for Team Centra's AUS_Doug:

Yeah for sure it was not a good round, which was surprising. I didn't get as much running time as I was hoping for, but I also had trouble finding a good balance for the car.

The championship next heads for the grip-heavy Hungaroring, how do you like your chances there?

Quote
AUS_Doug
I think I will be better there for sure, I enjoy the track very much and it is much more suited to me than Hockenheim.

Not such a good round for me either; Like Doug I struggled with striking a balance between speed and grip, and the final sector was painful because of it.
Oh well, hoping for a better run at Hungary.

All on grip thanks Tom.
