A new challenger appears!

A mysterious fog enveloped a garage in Fiorano today as a new challenger entered the Pre-Season test, seemingly shaping up for the season ahead. Once someone had put out the small fire the pyrotechnics of entrance had started, the challenger was revealed to be none other than Connor "Cannot" Steer. Steer announced he was as of yet unattached to any team but was looking at several options including racing as an independent or creating his own team. When asked about his prospective challenge he had this to say:

Challenger? Me? You expect me to challenge? Honestly I'm just hoping I go the right way round the track and maybe one day achieve my dream of not being the worst keyboard driver around.
Wait a second, what track are we at again? This is Monza right...

Steer then promptly ran over to the Porsche garage, stole a car, ordered some chips at the drive thru pit lane exit and slowly plodded around the track for several hours. No-one saw him return.

(Side note: Tom i appreciate the multiple different ways of spelling may name in the post before this one )

Following the season's first test session at Barcelona, Centra's AUS_Doug was asked about the season ahead:

Quote

"Forsureisgoingtobefun....lots of quick cars"

This apparent channelling of his idol, Kimi Räikkönen, seems to suggest that this season is going to be a frustrating one for reporters.

Having yesterday completed his first ever laps at Fiorano, this reporter asked the Australian if he was liking the track:

Quote

"Yes"

It wasn't a great day for the monosyllabic driver however, who seemed to struggle with the brakes all day.

He was also docked 3 penalty points on his super-license for repeatedly driving the wrong way down the pit-lane.

"Why turn right and have to go all that way around? Quicker to go left."

Dragon Racing Press Update #1

Both the new drivers were seen spending most of their time in their hotel rooms sleeping.

Milos eventually emerged from the hotel room to look for his lunch when the news reporters swarmed him and sprayed him with questions .

" Milos.what have you been doing over the past few days?"

" Other than a few installation laps. Absolutely nothing" said a smiling Milos.

"What happen to your teamate Ana?"

" Oh he is sick from acute homesickness and needs some time to recover! Don't worry about him. He would get some laps before we pack up and go."

" Are you feeling confident about the season ahead?"

" Our car has shown good pace in FP1 and I believe with proper development we can be very competitive this season. I can't wait to race around the historic tracks! By the way guys, my lunch is waiting for me."
Milos thanked the reporters and headed back towards the restaurant.

Meanwhile back at the paddock, the engineers were seen trying to figure out which parts go where....

Porsche F1 Team is proud, that the privateer Connor is going to use their livery for the season.

We are currently working on a new livery for the season, only small things have to be added...so Connor could use the actual livery and Porsche F1 TEam may use the new Gulf-Design.
I have to talk to Excalibur to see if we get the new livery done before the season starts as Tom has to get it into the game...

Lokking at the actual Leaderboard the drivers have decided to enter the track again within the next days to see if the cars can get a better setup...!

now I have this message when I try to submit a lap :

Invalid Entry: CC checksum is not correct. Check your performance files

what do I need to do to get rid of it ?

Thanks mate. Hope so, but the car is very tricky right now, I need to tweek the steering wheel settings a bit.

SVR : Fiorano Testing, Day 2





This second testing day has been very interesting for the Alfa Romeo's official team. Supermonty says : " Stefano has made a very good lap. Today, i've tested a corrected setup to increase the grip and the performance. My feedback is very positive, the car has a good balance."

"We'll test at Fiorano for more few days but, after, the main target is to continue the development program. We must test a new version of the V6 Alfa Romeo at Monza and proceed to a global check-up, before the Quattro Raceway race. OK,thank you guys, but, now, i want to eat my spaghettis ! Ciao !"

Good morning from Zuffenhausen, Germany!

Today Porsche F1 Team proudly presents their new livery for the upcoming start of the GP4CC Season.



A big applause goes out to Arnaud, who helped the team by giving data & creating the alpha channels for the new car!!!! Also a massive thanks to Tom, who does all the work and compiling of the data to realize this wonderful idea of a GP4 competition! (Tom, you have already a PM with the new TEX-Files).

The old livery may be used by privateer Connor as the cars won't be destroyed



We go back to Fiorano on monday to check the latest updates & improvements...

Did you put 1hour 30 minutes replay before loading the hotlap ?

If any Team Owners want their car's wheel rim or arm colors changed, just let me know the Hex color you want.

At the moment all rims are #606060 (grey) and all arms are #DDDDDD (pale grey / white).

Is there any advantages in using manual gears over auto?

you get to choose which gear you take the corner in. Very useful, probably the hardest to master.
