When GPxPatch opens on the 2nd tab from left called GPxSet
Be sure the box next to performance file is checked
It should be looking at gpxdata\performance.txt which has the names-team etc in it.

For the tracks I just download them & put their folder inside the circuits folder
Then click GPxPatch-- GPxTrack tab & click edit & point that slot to the track
I dont use TSM

Good Luck

Do I have to use TSM for the 2014 tracks?

I recommend using GPxTrack to install new tracks.

Season 2 Pre-Season Testing #1 starts today (25-July)

Welcome to Season 2 of the GP4CC!

The pitlane at Barcelona is now open, so I hope your new cars have all arrived safely! This is the first of two non-championship testing events. We are testing the championship website and the mod as much as anything, so please submit a lap as it helps me make sure the championship will run smoothly when we get to the "real" events.

For this first testing event, we will be testing the fuel penalty system. Fuel penalties have been awarded according to the championship positions at the end of Season 1. However, these fuel penalties will be reset after pre-season testing and so will not apply to Event #1 (USA Hotlap #1).

Please try to submit a "banker" lap early so we can check for any validation bugs.

Good luck! (Y)

Nice work on the mod Tom, just got my first lap in now.

Unfortunately, during the week, I made the mistake of enjoying the fact that I've got a computer that can now run the DTM 2006 mod instead of practising with these new cars. ;-)

Just a quick question; when I submitted I got a notice asking me to "Please use a frame rate lower than 40 fps."

Does this just make it easier for others to watch the lap?

Cheers, and best of luck everyone.

~Doug.

Hi Tom,

On your website I saw instructions for your pre-season
In your How to set weather conditions the picture shows a performance_early.txt?
but I do not see it in gpxdata of the new laptop edition.
Is that still valid?
Thanks

hi guys

first of all thanks for all the work put into this 2014 mod by everyone.

i do have a question regarding the tweaker settings. I see this is handled a bit different than in say the old 2006 mod or even the 09 empty mod as each team had his own settings for each car. here in this one its all in 1 file. Now i tried to change the settings for the lotus in the positions ini. nothing changed ingame tough. I found the tweaker settings in the cars folder of every car but no change ingame.

now i normally now how this works but for some reason i dont know what to do :D

so if anyone could help me out it would be great,

Yep, correct.

Fixed. In the 2014 mod it is just called performance.txt.

Tom I have a question about HotLap replays
I have been using the shortcut you mentioned
Shift+ Backspace to let me re-try

But I find many times the hotlap saved is somehow corrupted
meaning it shows me going off track or crashing.

I also noticed when ever I save a hotlap I never get the usual
red progress bar while saving hotlap.

I assumed when using shift+ backspace type restarts I should not
do too many but even the one I just tried I only used backspace restart
twice then saved a test lap but it too was corrupted

Any tips on what it may be?
I am using your stock laptop edition no tweaks other than settings you
required for competition

Thanks

Set your reset point to just before you reach the grid markings (so approx 200m before the start line).

The corruption you are getting is likely from setting your reset point too close to the start/finish line. Just before the grid markings seems to be about ideal to avoid this in my experience.

Sorry to be a bother Tom :(

Every lap I tried to submit I get this message
Invalid Entry: Weather seed should be 48955,41951,60156,5947,35204,55868. Please set the weather in GPxSet Session Settings.

But I do have this weather seed in place
48955,41951,60156,5947,35204,55868

I even tried it with the "." in the end thinking maybe that may
be it but still not accepted

PS: When I look at the hotlap in hofxlapw
it does in fact show
Random seed: 0,0,0,0,0,0

So I guess it is not taking it even though I input it at GPxPatch?

What is the value of the box below the weather seed set to in GPxSet? (The one labelled "For Session:" )?

Ok I think I figured it out & submitted one.
Thanks :-)
@tomMK

i did not change the tweaker settings in the cars folder. i did change the tweaker settings in the tweaker_data folder. the one wich says that for each line

CAR01 = @driver01
CAR02 = @driver02
CAR03 = @driver03
CAR04 = @driver04
CAR05 = @driver05
CAR06 = @driver06

i putted in the numbers to replace the @driver but nothing happend

@flying - I don't see your lap? You sure you submitted it?

@Bakmrkr - Looks like the same problem that flying was having - see 4 posts up ^^^. And a Caterham eh? A bold choice... ;)

@Alonso0506 - I'm not sure why that doesn't work, but why not just use the positions files in the cars folders as intended?
