GP4 Sound [RELEASED!!!] + Tutorial [WIP] PART 2 ADDED

Posted by Mitsuro Sano
No that's not the problem, make sure you are using Sample Editor to replace the samples in the correct Game_Snd.bnk. It's simple to do so you can't really do it wrong unless you are editing teh wrong Game_Snd.bnk.
How have I only just discovered this?
The sounds are brilliant, thanks very much! :)
Hey,

first and foremost, this sounpacks are great. Many thanks for this nice work.

I just wanted to ask if anyone has found a solution for the problem with the external sounds that TeamBPR described on page 6 of this thread ( cars that dont have the focus in track-side-view are ridiculously quiet, but it only concerns the engine sounds as the downshift - sounds of the other cars still are played at the correct volume ) without messing with the entire sound - setup ?
Where can I find the V10 external sounds of Mitsuro Sano?

Grateful

May I ask what are they ? I'd like to give a shot myself to an MP4-15 external sound :)
Hi Mathieu,

The slots 137 and 138 will give you AI's external sounds. You may have to tweak some of your sounds manually though, because I didn't find in the engine.txt file which line modify.

PS : Ahh le moteur de cette McLaren!! Le vrai V10 qui hurle comme un malade aux mains de Hakkinen! La pole d'Imola est une pure merveille pour les oreilles ( et quel tour de Mika ) !!

Hi guys!

Anyone who uses this Mitsuro Sano's tutorial made some 70's sounds? Or 80's?

If yes, could you share with us?

Thanks.

Hi Guys Im starting to explore sounds on GP4 based on this tutorial

Very difficult to understand ( not sound especialist ) why the sound recorded not exactly the same on game ( tried a lot FreqOffset values )
Not sure if our master Mitsuro is still working with this can't find any new message from him.

I try to develop some sounds for 80s and here is my first version of 86 ( not exactly the same but near I think ) Lotus 98T

Here is the link in case you want to try and give me any feedback or even teach how to improve.

Hi Guys

After some weeks of tests here is my version of Lotus72D de 1972.
It was tested on KerleyF1 1975 Mod. I think could work in 80s Mods too ( not tested ).

Here is the link in case you want to try and give me any feedback or even teach how to improve.

Hello, so I've tried applying your instructions, but I can't get Samples Editor to do the required actions

Thank you for your hard work Jose! I will try it (hope), on the weekend and send some feedback. Nice to hear a user trying to modding the game sounds (looks not very easy).

I released a new version of sound to Mod 86.

I try to correct some tracks with the specifications of GP4. I think the old sound is good but intense. This one seems to be more real ( but I like the old version too ).
I'm still learning the best way to do it and looking for some sound "gurus" to learn more.

Here is the pack to who want to test it ( I tested on 86 but seems to work on 80s ).

I will try now to get something to 89 or 90 ( 88 seems good too and could be used on this years but I will look for something a little distinct to 89 e 90 ).

Hope you enjoy as much as I.

Jose

New sound release for Mod 90 ( Maybe 89 and 91 ) could be used too.

I used the original sound of Mclaren MP4-5B 1990 on Onboard cameras of Ayton Senna and Gerard Berger.
Hope that you like!!!

I made some changes on the slowdown sound of MP4-5B. Bellow the version 1.1. The old one is good but I think this is better.
