Apparently we are being left in slot 1 because of some issue with test numbers

I think a slot on the perf overrules any issues with numbers.
and numbers are only written on the perf and have no bearing on cars, so I dont see a problem.
Aston Martin got the 1st slot by Velox winning WCC , as rules say.
Again, I don't see numbers affecting team's position on perf.

Ok, user error, sorry about that.

KNOW the updated points tables and boost tables are up on page 1

And yes, I know the second boost table should say TESTERS instead of DRIVERS. I have already fixed it.

- My GP4 Works

right I installed v8 adelaide. I just put wad and dat, there are some other files in the download for which i wasnt sure exactly where to put. I'm not too tracks installing savvy.

I used s4 starter perf.
watched 2 laps, and after 2 laps had 5 cars either going to pits for repair or dnf.
what seems to be the problem - i could be wrong - is similary like Sepang cars coming from a wide straight into narrow corners.
Overtaking there seems to end in a collision or and spin.
I accelerated the race and got 12 dnfs at the end,with couple more cars lapped.

so it looked like s1 finale to me.

i used 40 ai errors, but it appears to be the cc-line problem when overtaking from wide straight into narrow corners.

that said, my test wasnt thorough, so if someone wants to give it a more thotough one you can d/l it here.[gp4db.com]

could you provide more details about the typical crashes? are the cars understeering into other ones, or do they run into each other under brakes etc.

well, when one car is overtaking another one from wide straight into a narrow corner and they go side by side, there's front wheel/rear wing wheel contact.
like i said it wasnt thorough test.
i dunno how other dnfs happened as i havent seem 'em.

Sometimes its more fun to have a lot of failures in at least one race! More real!


Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it

DNFS arent a problem as such, but if it's problematic to overtake into certain corner then everyone overtaking into that corner is screwed.
again it's too early to say what it is, more thorough test would reveal what's up.

Maybe dropping AI errors to 10 like we do for Suzuka will be a solution.

If you download the empty 2009 mod and look in the tweaker folder, there's solution for running less cars with a file called numcars.ini which could easily be implemented into the GPGSL mod

Concentrate on side by side overtaking into narrow corners and if there's any succeful ones at all


with 10 errors i just got 7 dnfs, but again i personally dont have a problem with more dnfs on one random track, however if it's a cc line prob into corner, then overtaking is also the issue like in Sepang, so reducing ai errors does not reduce the problem if problem is overtaking destined to end in a crash due to cc-line
.i am saying IF. I think I've seen one side by side which didnt result in crash now though. watched two laps.
would be cool if more partcipants tried to see what they get.
