Rot Teufel Tracks Workthread - Imola 1995 Hi-res Update Released

Posted by Rot Teufel
Hello, friends. I'm Back (Because I don't speaked "I'll be back", like a movie of 1984)

Long months inactive, and only active in GP4Forever forums as EddiePeugeot,
I will speak a thing, Rot:

The right wall of Eau Rouge, is too near of tarmac, like in real time in 1991.

But I continue active here on GPG.org and GP4forever.

Actually i have Adelaide, Estoril, Hockenheim, Interlagos, Mexico City, Monza, Phoenix, Silverstone, Spa and Suzuka from your trackpack. But i dont' know if could update them all. All dipends by my free spare time and will.

I prefer keep focus on one or at least two tracks with any long plan term.

I've done only Hockenheim, but i guess both mine Magny Cours, Montreal, Hungaroring and Imola could fit good on your tracks.

Keeping the focus on Spa, here the right Eau Rouge (thanks to Carrera.4 for Spa 1988 for rFactor). Next step, adding rail fences.

Spa Francorchamp 1991 Hi-res textures update

Another update for the 1991 trackpack by Plodekk and cleberpister. Spa is one of the bests F1 tracks and needs a good
update for rise up in all its beauty. I add a proper 1991 Eau Rouge as far is possible. My knowledge of GP4 is still
limited (like my spare free time), so i can't do much more. I hope you like it.

Have fun

This update is realeased for 1991 Spa from 1991 trackpack made by Plodekk and cleberpister.
I suppose you have this track in your track folder.
Otherwise i cannot guarantee that it'll work properly without graphical bugs.

All is ready to be installed into ".../Grand Prix 4/Tracks/1991 Spa/1991".
You just need to copy/paste the whole .tex, .gp4 and .col files into Spa1991.wad

As established with the new policy rules (see [www.grandprixgames.org]):

You can modify this track by using your custom textures or modify 3d parts to made it more realistic as possible,
but you HAVE TO PUT Plodekk, cleberpister as authors of the first track version and me (Rot Teufel) as author
of the textures update.
That's what we ask, rembered for our work. I don't think it'll be so painfull...

You mustn't sell this, i total disagree.
You can upload it on your site adn put it in download section.
The files is provide as it's. No warranties. Use at your own risk.

Some news about new projects after a long time...

First, Montreal 1995 is ready from a long time, but i still don't know if release as update or a brand new 2.0 track... Tony is still missing, so i don't know if use the "new permission policy rule" about the missing modders...
Second, there are some textures updates for some 1995 tracks from Plodekk and cleberpister 1995 trackpack. Some tracks needs only new people and kerb textures (like Barcellona and Hockenheim), some others needs some few work (Silverstone, Monza), others again need a great amount of work...

Monaco is quite ready, just some little detail and you will enojy it. Some preview screens in game:

Second point: someone know if Ruboy is still contactable? i need his permission to release Imola 1995 Textures update, cause i use some from his textures update for 2006 Imola. Thanks in advance.

Looks fantastic mate, but in that third screenie are you meant to only be able to see half of those three adverts on the brick wall?

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22
Season 9: Constructors' Champions
nope, full size. It's only a prospective issue cause the wall has an acute angle
From another point of view

@Isaint: thanks, i hope to released it soon

Track-Packs 1988-1991-1993-1994-1995-1997-1999
Some news: i need to finish the last few buildings, as i was not satisfied from original GP4 low res textures.... i hope to finish quite soon to start testing it in game.

PS: someone know if Ruboy is still contactable? i need his permission to release Imola 1995 Textures update, cause i use some from his textures update for 2006 Imola (grass, buildings, asphalt, gravel). Thanks in advance.

Monaco 1995 Hi-Res Update

plodekk and cleberpister have made a great job for give us some complete trackpacks for past mods (1988, 1991, 1993, 1995), that add new circuit and proper sponsored tracks for each year.
There was only a weak point... low res textures and sometimes mixed with mid and hi-res textures, that made you say "great job guys, i appreciate it but seems that something is missing"...
This is partially based on Caleen Monaco 2004 update, so kudos to him.
The Gp4 files has been fixed too, starting to some buildings, brick walls and reflecting ads. A brand new experience to see Monaco in all it's beauty in each small detail.
Have fun

fantastic, thank you very much :)(Y) it's an amazing update, the only thing i'm missing is the 'Motor Oil' under Selenia to complete the logo, because Selenia Motor Oil was used during the whole season :)

i guess after update every building and edit and even edit a lot all terrain around, i should have made one little error. I'll remember next time to fix Selenia ads.
