AI quite slow off the line

I tend to find that the AI cars are pretty slow off the line. Maybe it's a consequence of the set-ups I operate or that I sway towards a 3 stop strategy, but even from 6th or 7th I find myself in first by the first corner. Is there any way to force the AI to be a bit more aggressive off the line?

I've noticed that, except for in the 1991 mod where the AI are much faster off the line.
