I would say on each track a pitstop needs to be performed, and time how long it takes, in - stop - out
If I can get my GP4 set up properly I would offer to test that out if I get all the right tracks working.

The average pitstop is 25 seconds. That's the advantage a one stopper has over a two stopper. So, minus the 10 second penalty, that leaves a 15 second advantage. With races being around 40 laps, that means a 0.4 lap time difference on average. That's quite possible in our view.

The old differences were guesses too, we've lowered it for this season and we'll see how it will work out. If it ends up to be horribly bad, we'll definitely change it back

I don't think there would be a 0.4 second difference. When a car doesn't pit, I imagine they were probably scheduled to pit one or two laps after the race ended, which probably wouldn't give them such an advantage.

I suppose unless we do 100% F1 distance races, there is always this possibility - and it is very hard to accurately estimate the time difference.


Also, how about a Penalty system - Time penalties after the race for causing crashes
