Performance Files 1994-2023 (2023 RELEASED)

hi!

@gitanes, do you normally post an update when you add a performance file to your 4shared account?

yes i usually do (but i also usually update them in groups of 3-4 races).
Anyway, don't expect an update until after Bahrain, because there are some calibrations necessary and i simply need some race results for doing that.
When i'm happy with it, i will upload them and announce it formally

One thing for the upcoming files, in the TyreTextureNames part, it's Name, not team

Do you think you'll manage to release something after Bahrain, I use all your season files so looking forward to 15'

Just trying out some modifications with torque and physics, i hope to have some results after Bahrain (at least that's the plan!)

I'll stick to the plan !

Torque, physics and performance files are now based on 855 bhp (instead of 828 bhp for 2014) reflecting the increase of power for this years PU's. Lap-times are at least 1 sec quicker now with a good correlation to reality (<2% so far for dry sessions).

Remark 1: the teams and drivers order in the performance files reflect the official FIA entry lists published for each race so far (for example Melbourne), that means:
a) drivers are listed in ascending number order with the exemption of Hamilton (he is assumed to carry #1) and Hulkenberg (??!!??)
b) teams are listed in 2014 classification order: Sauber last.

Remark 2: The [TreadTextures] section reflects the qualifying results (the top 10 qualifiers are assigned the option tyre for the particular race, the rest are assigned the prime tyre)

Quick question, the BHP for all the teams in your files are the same, does this mean the ai performance or power is equal for every team?

The bhp for all teams is equal to match the physics and the torque curve as both are set to 855 bhp! The ai performance depends on the individual driver values (that is if you have checked "car power team dependent" on GpXPatch - GPxSet tab)!

You are absolutely right, a silly reference error in the spreadsheet!
It should be:

I've an update for the 2013 mod in the pipeline, for which I've modified the tyre part of your perf files to allow different compounds. System is the same as your current one, top 10 the soft compound, rest the hard. Do you mind that?

Hey Gitanes,

I've downloaded the 2015 Mod by kedy which uses your Physics/Performance-Files.

All cars have BHP 855, which means I get the same laptimes in qualifying, no matter if I drive a Mercedes or a McLaren.

As I Play in Hotseat-Mode I would like to have different car power in qualifying, so that Button can't go as fast as Rosberg.
Can I simply Change the BHP or will this have an affect on the cars, especially the AI-cars?
Ans will the cars I drive still behave like now when the BHP is changed, for example, to 825 ??

All three components of performance (torque - physics - perf files) are based on the same 855 bhp.

Normally, when you play in Normal-Mode and have checked "car power team dependent" in GPxSet tab of GPxPatch, you get the variation over the perf values in the performance file, so you should'nt get the same laptimes for different teams!

But then, I actually don't know, how the game behaves in Hotseat-Mode and if it uses the performance files at all in this case (this could explain the same laptimes for Mercedes and McLaren you mentioned).
