Performance Files 1994-2023 (2023 RELEASED)

I was checking the accuracy of my performance files and physics against the real data of the 2011 season so far, based on the polesitters Q3 quali time of each race compared to cc-cars in quali mode with fuel for 3 laps in ace level in GP4 and came up with this:

I think you would agree, that the results are a good match, with the exception of a couple of (new) tracks, displayed in italics. I suppose that has something to do with the tracks magic data, so i would like to ask KTC (if i'm not mistaken, they are all his dat-files) to take himself a look at the issue, because i don't like to mess with other peoples work and i don't have a clue of track making!!
If i'm wrong and this is not a matter of magic data, then i would have another look at it!

Note: the Interlagos comparison is based on the 2007 and 2008 lap times, because the newer ones were rain affected and therefore not suitable for comparison.

Since with GP4-physics only we can not simulate anymore the real F1 cars using KERS and DRS, magic data is the only option left to adjust the lap times.

From the magic data point of view, lap times depend on air resistance and on track grip,
mainly on track grip and less on air resistance.

For more accurate result I think you should also post the real top speeds (on qualifying sessions) against the GP4 speeds.
That informaion would help track makers to adjust first the air resistance and then the track grip.
Doing so will result in both real top speeds and real lap times.

Well, i'm not sure this would help much! For example, at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the polesitter, Vettel, had a top speed of 308.5 km/h which was the 19th fastest of the grid, 4.5 km/h slower than the HRTs and allmost 15 km/h slower than the fastest top speed (Perez, 323.4 km/h). If you run GP4, the driver with the highest performance value is the polesitter (i.e. Vettel), so he gets also the highest top speed! If you calibrate the track for Vettels actual top speed (308.5 km/h), you get a very low grid average.
So, perhaps the way to do it is to calibrate the track grip, to get a lap time match, and then let the player adjust the top speed via his preferred car setup!

I'm impressed with the lengths you are going through to get this level of accuracy

Added Catalunya in the table above, seems it slipped away at first!

Meanwhile, i'm working on the magic data of those tracks, and, if i don't hear anything from KTC up to the Brazilian Grand Prix, i attend to publish them with the complete package

Mate,i've just tried your 2011 physic and performance i was driving with hungary performance and option physic,at that 2008 interlagos track by SchueyFan, Ricardo Lampert ecc. but AI runs in 1.18 and they only use 6 gears,i tried jerez 2011 and still the same thing they only use 6 gears,will this problem fixed in your next pack?

All my performance files include following lines:

so i don't understand why your AI run with only 6 gears.
Perhaps there is an issue with your mod and the performance files are not actually loaded?

ok the lap time it's not a big problem,but that ai is using only 6 gears it is xd,i don't know i'm using 2006 mod by gp4 italia and right now i'm using 2009RC physic and performance updated to 2011 and ai is using 7 gears

You lost me there!
If i understood right, you are using Tony's 2006 mod with 2009 physics and 2011 performances? If so, then there is no wonder you don't get accurate lap-times!

Regarding the AI gears, Tony's original performance files in the 2006 mod are setting the gears for all teams to 7, so they should be driving with the correct gears. But perhaps, you replaced the performances with ones that don't include the [Gears]-section, so your game revert to the original 6 gears!

ok,the lap time are good,but the real problem it's AI gears,ok i'm using 2006 mod,but i did put your phisic and your performance and still have 6 gears

Tony's 2006 mod is using a "hardwired" naming conversion:
- the physics file is the standard csmperf.txt in the gpxpdata folder of GP4
- the performance files have the names 2006-trackname.txt and are located in the performance folder of the mod

so you have to rename everything according to Tony's naming conversion and put everything (including physics) in the performance folder of the mod, then it should work!

Season 9: Constructors' Champions

It is time again, the first part of the 2012 Performance Files is released.

It took a while, because i wanted first to check, if the 2011 physics are still good enough, because this year we don't have the "blown diffuser" and Pirelli has changed the tyres. Up to now it looks like the physics, who were a bit too quick last year, are a bit too slow now, but in terms of 1-2% deviation, so they are still much of use.

The tracks, where the DRS version of the physics is to be used, are mentioned in the README, so please READ IT!

The package contains:
1. The 2011 physic files by Cyberacer (with a small contribution by me)
2. The pre-season testing performance files (Jerez, Catalunya 1 and Catalunya 2, Mugello)
3. The season performance files for the first 4 races so far (Albert Park to Sakhir)

Please note:
As always, my performance files have the goals to:
1. Replicate the pole-sitter (Q3) quali time (at ace level, with a 4 lap run) using the option physics (using the prime physics for quali you should get the best Q1 time but with less accuracy)
2. Replicate the race result and not the best race lap times, especially when combined with "GP4 Failure Editor" to get the retirements in grip.
