Hang on, Marko will confirm it.

TN Racing would like to officially confirm the signing of both Keeley Grant and Jorge Caranti for the Grand Prix Games Super League Season 2. The new team has also aquired a direct development partnership with the legendary classic motor giant Bugatti, and will use Dunlop tyres.

Although new to the series, the underdog team is hoping to build upon a solid and reliable first season in the league - but there is already gossip of a number of unsuspecting surprises for others at the track, and the underestimated true strength of the True North Racing Team's previous Racing Heritage elsewhere.

More to follow around public car launch date, expected Jan 29th.

*sighs* Fair enough, so I'll have to do that... once you have a set deadline for sending the cars, i'll try to find some time to repaint the numbers.

GPGSLRS CLARIFICATION
The numbers posted in first post are now final. Even if a team withdraws there won't be any changes. A potential new team will use 24 and 25. Apologies to Raltwest for inconvinience.

It should be a reasonable deadline, but to keep people motivated there should be a 2bhp deduction penalty for teams if it is missed, and 15 points deduction for drivers if they don't send helmets. What do you fellow members(Mal and Nick) of GPGSLRS "triumvirat" think?

Who do I send my helmet to?
Mal and Jorge are compiling the mod and Mal is running the races and possibly some tests, so he should have the last say in it, but I think putting race 1 on Feb the 22nd and the deadline on the 10th or something should be reasonable. I don't know how long it takes to compile a mod. Depending on that time, we could extend the deadline a bit.

In the meantime, we can run some tests with white/old liveries to keep everybody interested.

I'll put that address in the first post too.
@nickv,But do you agree with the penalty proposal? We want to avoid season 1 delays.
Raltwest however would have the benefit of not getting penalized for team livery in case they'd missed it, since the already painted it and announced it and it was GPGSLRS' "fault", that they have to do it again.

That sums it up perfectly.

So yes, I agree :P

Martini Paddock Racing does their first test of 2009

Jan 5th - It was a bright day in Melbourne, where MPR ran their first test yesterday. Both Dan Paddock and newly signed driver Marko Aleksander did 15 laps around the circuit, testing 2008 cars with 2009 specs and setting surprisingly competitive times.
Dan Paddock even set slightly fastest lap than Aleksander, who finished third in the championship, which was somewhat a surprise. In the race pace program, Dan was quicker in first session, however Marko performed better in second one.

"Altough I'm still getting used to the car, I have to say that Dan was driving on the highest level, beat me fair and square in the afternoon and improved a lot from last year. It got better for me in the late afternoon test though. We've got to be careful with predictions, we have a 5 BHP deficit to the top team, so don't expect any miracles, however I am convinced that we might just spring a surprise come Melbourne race start. If we can put both cars in top ten on the grid, it'd be tremendous, considering the team finished last in 2008."

"It was awesome," Dan added,"and it would be great if we could achieve that in February".

MPR is now making a new car, with Porsche engines, which definetely showed potential in Albert Park.

Alpha Motorsports Reveal New Livery

A brief test at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours today revealed the livery that Alpha Motorsports will run in Season 2. Team Boss and race driver from Team Shadow Subaru Ed Greenhalgh piloted the first laps in Randy Winston's car, impressed with the car's performance. "Not only does the car look great, but it is handling very well and easy to setup. Thanks to Bridgestone for the opportunity to run the car today." The team's two drivers, Winston and Bobby Neil will hope that the new car can turn around the team's fortunes after a disappointing finish to Season 1.

Winston commented on the season ahead "This time last year I was worried that I would have to hang up my helmet after not being picked up again, but when Alpha picked me up, I felt redeemed. I now have my chance, and I'm looking to make the most of it. I've had some bad luck in the races last season, having been in with a chance at a podium in my first two races. Anyway, I think that we are looking good so far, and that the car is competitive." Bobby took a different approach to the livery "The livery is simple, nice and clean. As long as the cars quick you can paint the car rainbow for me!"

After running in an interim livery for season 1 due to another team's late exit and finalising deals with our major sponsors, Greenhalgh hopes that this launch of the team's livery and identity can launch the team as a major force in the series. "Our first season was compromised somewhat by minimal preparation. Our original plan was to debut in season 2, but our sponsor demanded that we did not wait another season. However, it has turned out reasonably well and we now have a useful bank of performance points to take in to the season."

Below are the pictures of the car's first run. Renders will follow at a later date

Silly Mastercard, making the same mistake twice :P

Seriously though, very nice car! I've always liked that livery!
Great car!!

an important question!
When doing testing I've noticed that teams have different set ups.
I'm using the 2007 trackpack where the Barca TSM set ups for AI are fw 16 rw 10, but in game some teams have rear wing set to 9 others 10 and 11. It influences perfomance! How do I make sure that ALL teams have 10 and 16??. RD will have to do that too.
