Peeps who get GP4 on friday, read here

Anybody who gets GP4 on friday, please tell me about the performance on their machine and estimate what it will be like for mine. My specs are:

Pentium III 500MHz processor
Windows 98 SE
5.89 GB free disk space
128.0 Mb RAM
GeForce 4 MX420 64 Mb Graphics card
32 bit virtual memory

correction, 6.78 Gb free disk space

Movies or pictures?

Here are my specs=

Pentium III 800MHz processor
Windows Xp Pro
20 GB HD @ 7200rpm -> 5.75 GB free
493 MB RAM
GeForce 2 MX400 64MB 128 bit TV out

Although my specs are quite good i'm a little bith concerned if my specs are good enough to run the game smoothly with as many detail as possible...

I'll get it friday immediatly when I have off school!

I tested the game on the same spec as you have, only it was GF2 GTS 32mb and SBLIVE card.
on 1024*768 with everything on low you get 19 FPS, then the PO is around 110.

Yes but I have a Geforce 2 mx400, so that should be better. Do you think my processor is too slow, to turn every detail on? Even when I would put in a geforce 4 ti 4600?

I don't really think you can have full details at the moment. But, with the GF4 Ti4600 you could. This graphics engine is brand new, and gfx card dependant, not so CPu dependant as GP3 was. for eample I've a 350mhz and it works.

You could run it top resolution easily, but whether with all details, I don't know (CPU will bottle neck the gfx card's speed.)

Jarvi, the MX cards usually give worse results than other, for example
GF4 MX ... its worse than GF3 TI or even GF2 TI :\

I'd say the GF2 Ti is pretty close, but GF4 mx has more features and is cheaper. Its a personal preference.
