Ok, I need to replace my matrox g200 (8mb!!), but I don't know which card to get. My limit is £80-85 probably, any ideas?

I thought maybe an ATI Radeon, but which one? I don't need tv out or anything though.
GeForce 2 64mb would be good, but can I get them for that price?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks LS, but 2 questions.

Why is a gf4 SO cheap?

Is it better than the gf2 gts?

Its confusing (I know NOTHING about video cards) cos one is a 2, the other 4, so it should be MUCH more expensive...AND the GF4 has tv out too.

I have a p2 (mx) 350, 98 megs ram, etc. Will the gf4 improve normal performance? Not just games but paint shop pro etc too.

Thanks

the geforce 4 is a scaled down version of the geforce 3, a kind of geforce3 mx if you like.

my mate has one, and its still pretty good

not sure out of the geforce 3 or 4 is the better one though

your new video card will make a hell of a difference, but to fully appreciate it you may need a faster cpu

but i'm sure you'll be staggered at the difference it makes

Yo sup

hhmmm....I think LS said it all really?

"GeForce 2 64mb would be good, but can I get them for that price?"

I got mine for £65 and it works a treat, the games all rock, i just need a better Processor to take full adv of it. My mate has GF4 with his nex PX and theres not much of a difference between 2 and 4. (His processor is 1.6, overclocked to 2.4!!!!!!!!!)
