I had Formula 1 97 for ps1. Still my all time favourite console racing game.
Would love to be able to play this mod in the future.

We are still looking for someone to shape the cars, I have attempted and it is really bad.

i find 3D models interesting. i really want to get into it. i tried a few times with zmodler. i failed.



zmodeler is a nightmare to work with. at least for me. not user-friendly. i cant even model a simple stock car. all those lines are too much for my eyes. my brain doesnt work that way. but i wont give up. i will try again soon.

well it seems that there is a group ready to do 1997 and seems quite advanced with the cars, no idea on helmet but I imagine tweaking GP4 physics and sound won't take too long

After reading the readme from the F1 1997 mod for F1 challenge, I have found this:

You are free to use every part of this mod to make updates (except 3D rims made by godzilla), I encourage you to do. I want this mod to become the most beautiful as possible, so don't hesitate to make it better.

This means that I am able to convert the cars and stuff for this mod that I shall be creating

isn't this what Intweb has converted anyway??

Not really sure, he might have done but he didnt give the permission in the end to use them.

F33LTH3F0RC3 talk to f1 1997 mod creator to convert them!!!

I do this with 96 and the author give me permission.

@F33LTH3F0RC3 - I'm under the impression that Intweb is so far advanced with his work, there is no point anyone joining with his work now. Anyways, what's been done so far?

Im looking for a tutorial for converting and I need to get an email adress for Watchy, I was told he was the crator for the '97 mod for F1 challenge.

Yeah he was the creator I believe, but as Fongu said intweb has already converted these cars, so why bother mate I think he will release them soon anyway.

No offence to you Force, but he has done it all already, maybe do a conversion of another f1 challenge mod that we don't have in gp4.

I know I have heard that some people have wanted a 1982 mod in the past.

The Intweb knows very well the question of conversions and copyright.
And everything that already looked to create was with authorization and with credits.

Well intweb has the cars sorted it seems, so why not do some team art and helmets ot all the other stuff in a mod, theres alot more than just cars

Intweb dont want the cars to be released in this mod....hmm...might just stop then....

The problem being I would really like to do this and does it really matter if intweb has done the cars already? They will only be in a pack and not a proper CSM mod I don't think.

Probably he is going to explain or show that cars are ready or W. I. P..
Afterwards each a speak as can help he or to everybody.
