More features included in gp4

Well, as you guys guessd, that cocpit pic was scanned in from a magazine, and that magazine had a whole section devoted to GP4 in it. (it is the german magazine "gamestar"

Aswell as that pic, they also told us some features that will be included all in german.

What they basically said in german was (i will translated it and miss out the unimportant bits)


- Traction controll will be included

- Each car will handle differently (they reckon ferrari's might be easier to fin with and drive than minardis)

-Each track will be made up of 50000 GPS data points , and 30000 photos (not really impotant but hey)

-they reckon that to run everything on high graphivs you will need at least a 1 ghz pc

- Pic-rews and marshalls will be motion caputred (first time for any f1 game)

-There will be lots of new camara angles, such as a t-cam

-Multiplayer will be: up to 8 ppl on LAN, 2 player splitscreen and 2 player modem


yeah yeah its not much, but i went through quite some effort getting that put of a page of solid German for you.

no mate, all that means is that marshalls flag waving will be more realistic,

Hey, do you guys think a P3 733 processor, GeForce 2 MX400 64mb, 400MB RAM, Win XP will be enough to play GP4 without problems in full graphics?

I've read somewhere that you'll need a 1 ghz cpu to do the game justice

I guess your GFX-card should be ok, your RAM memory as well.
Yeah maybe the processor will be pretty crappy! I guess you could play it, but not with full options...

are u sure is not 401.5mhz?

I have a 1ghz pc, with 128mb ram and a NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 yet I only get 25fps> on 800 by 600 resolution. On 1028 by 768 I get a slow frame rate, and this is just with GP3-2000. So I dont know if I could play GP4 with full options....

I have a 1.8GHZ 512 RAM and geforce 2 MX 200.
I think it will run atleast on low detail

GP4 will be more gfx sependent. if u had a 2ghz p4 and tnt2 it would prob run the same as a p2 400 and GF4 ti 4600. so all you guys with lower cpu speeds, u you find games start to run slowly, just pick up a cheap GF3. can get them for bout £120 quid now i think.

The official minimum specs for GP4 is a 400mhz processor, not 1ghz.

I guess Cai meant the recommended specs... which suggest that a 750Mz CPU should be sufficient.

The processor is indeed very imortant! But a good GFX card is a must! You will be able to play the game better with for example a P3 750 GeForce3 then with a P4 1400 TNT2!!!!
