GP4 F1 1991 MOD released !

Re: the qualifying bug...its in the settings somewhere in the mod. Some tracks are set for 6 qualifying laps...some 12.

I'll look later when i get home for the exact location. They just need changing to 12 thats all for the ones that are set to 6.

1991 mod > data > gpxpatch >
then click on each folder for each gp, inside is a file (gpxset), open that up and change the qualifying laps, some files are set correctly at 12, some files are set to 6

I have no idea how and when those values changed. I copied the original gpxset.ini to all the track folders to have the right performance file selected when you choose a single GP.

I'll check them out and see if I could simplify the way they work.

Does any of you have very fast and driveable car-setups appropriate for 1991 mod?

I tried setting up a car myself but as I am not good at physics, gear ratios and aerodynamics it slowed me down even more.

There are tracks at which I win , but there are also tracks (for example the only and beloved Imola 81-94) at which I can't keep up with the rest. Even if I make it to the 3rd position during the first lap, the subsequent laps seem to be as slow as hell (real inferno starts when I approach Acque Minerali where most cars overtake me), I always lose 1 or 2 seconds in each lap.

When I played GP3, once I've downloaded awesome GP3 hotlaps setups for all the tracks containing best five setups for each track. I wonder if anything like that has been made for GP4.

just downloaded it, csm finally begins to play nice i.e its quicker to load mods and i dont get the black screen hanging, great work zaz!

this mod is fantastic, brilliant job and a huge thanks to all those involved.

been shunning csm for so long, but know it works, i need to learn how to get the best out of it!

I, too, appreciate the fine work from everyone involved in this project from the tool builders to the artists, but ZaZ deserves a special note of thanks for making these mods readily available to the masses who simply couldn't or wouldn't do the patching themselves.

I have small problem. Firstly when installs full season with CSM I get Phoenix track error; restoring Phoenix track - 1991 not found, then I in the game I have correct 1991 track order list but when selecting I get wrong tracks, example: selecting Phoenix I get Melbourne, Brazil - Malaysian and so on. I tried to reinstall mod few times always with the some errors.
I fallowed instructions and all documentation for correct installation with no success.

Any help appreciated.

Did you install the trackpack as well?

O yes I did few times to be correct...

So you get the original GP4 track order. What I think right now is that gp4.exe is not updated well by TSM. Please double-check your gp4.exe, get the one from gpg.org or gp4db.com if you haven't already. If that isn't the case then I suggest you post this on the CSM forum at grandprixx.com.

I found the problem; was on my site, as I didn't know about "Plus trackpack" which I confused with 1991 plus season update. All works fine.

what if I can't afford downloading a whole mod for 1-2 cars due to monthly bandwidth limitations ?

As far as i know the cars are being released individually at some point, not sure when tho sorry

Releasing single cars was just to keep people involved while we were developing the mod. The mod is 188MB, do you really have such a low bandwidth limit?

@Erix: Do you plan to re-release the 91 cars / tracks (whichever is affected) with the corrected qualifying laps? I'm a perfectionist, and don't wanna screw around with my GP4 install too much.
