When I use accelerated time in a race the game frequently hangs. Only a reset of the computer will help. Is this a known issue?

Thanks t_m_r!

Only little glitch I see - the lights for the revs sometimes goes on...and sometimes it doesn't. :) I have all of the patches loaded. Any ideas? (It's not a big concern).
I finally can run a full race - it seems I needed to reinstall everything twice before it would run smoothly. :)

Thanks the_new_mr, I'm now able to drive a bit faster in Monaco. But the most important is that now I have more control of the car so I can push it lap after lap! I notice a big difference at the swimingpol, I able to take that part faster now.

People in this thread have mentioned that Adelaide 95 could be used in place of the 91 version but I can't find it anywhere.

Has a mod of that track been made?

Download the 1995 mod and it's trackpack at gp4db.com. There's no separate download yet as the track isn't finished yet.

Plodekk,
I'm not sure what you mean.

Erik, I don´t understand what you talking about. I would know if have a mode to fix the 3D steering wheel in a cars.wad. I´ve tried to put the 3D of your mod but it be loose, free.

The 3d steering wheel is part of the helmet. It works in conjunction with gp4tweaker.

Check out the ini files that come with the latest tweaker. I think it's called "helmet movement".

Lucky you :). I still get generic tracks...

BTW... can anyone tell me , what does it EXACTLY mean to install tracks? Maybe I omit some important step?

I do it this way - I click on 1991_trackpack.tup and it asks me to overwrite some files, I click 'yes'. When the stripe reaches 100% and the process finishes , I just close the utility. Should I do something else?
There are some strange buttons like 'Load tracks' , 'Unload tracks', 'Copy default tracks' , 'Install track' , 'Manage profiles' , 'Manage tracks'. Do I need any of these?

I am green and only recently started my adventure with GP4, so I am asking for your guidance.

You have installed the tracks from the track pack, so they are on your computer waiting to be used - next step is to use them :)
If you start CSM and the 1991 mod then you should automatically get the 1991 tracks loading.

You can also use them without CSM by using only TSM:
'Load tracks' - this will load the tracks from the selected track profile
'Unload tracks' - this will unload those loaded above
'Copy default tracks' - installs the original tracks as TSM compatible ones
'Install track' - install a new track - when you download a .tuh file
'Manage profiles' - you can make new, or edit old profiles (a track profile is just a list of 17 tracks)
'Manage tracks' - same as above but with tracks. Create new tracks and edit data from old ones.

Thanks . I'll try to use it. It'd be nice , anyway, if somebody provided me with a step-by-step instruction of installing tracks in GP4.

O.K. Don't bother anymore. I have just solved the problem. All the tracks have loaded correctly!

Finally I can enjoy the whole 1991 mod, which I find fantastic...Pity that some tracks haven't been made yet... Mexico, Phoenix etc. I am looking forward to Phoenix 1991 track which will be on-line soon. I wonder if anybody is getting cracking with Estoril.

That's great that you got the tracks working!
It does seem that for some people the tracks do not load correctly and that a reload or (for me) running the latest 1991 patch helped.

I am surprised the number of people on this board that ask about the Portuguese track! I didn't think that track was very popular...

I don't think anyone is working on the track at the moment....

Well, you shouldn't be surprised... :)

It's obvious that people who, for example, downloaded and loaded the 1991 mod (which itself is very realistic) want to feel the 1991 F-1 season to the very full extent. You know, I don't find it pretty entertaining winning at Nurburgring which is labelled 'Grand Prix of Portugal'. ;)

The same story goes with the rest of the missing tracks.

I have been playing GP3 for ages (and I will never stop) mainly for the wide range of carsets and tracks. Estoril, Phoenix and Mexico for GP3 are easily accessible. Pity that nobody has seen to them for GP4 ,yet.
