Landex you did a great Job putting the 1991 Mod contents all together. I was able to unzip it and everythjing was exactly where it was supposed to be and all the tracks worked. PERFECT ! I was about to give up on this GP4 but you have made me see the light. I will use what you put together as a model of the way things should be to work flawlessly. Thanks again Landex for saving my sanity and to The Grand Prix 4 1991 Season Development Team for creating the Mod .

I want to get lap times from 1991 and make slight adjustments either to the computer cars or my own power. I was running Shumacher and I was slaughtering the entire field of cars no matter where I started. I changed my BHP to 730 which is what it was in 1991 for the Ford Benetton B191. I was still destroying eveybody. Something needs to be tweaked. I dont know what though.


Edit: Ok I used the GP4phys editor which you had in your download. I am driving the Benetton for the season and this is what I did and It seems to have tamed the car a bit. It probably could be a tad bit slower but this is better than It was for the 1991 year.
These were the changes I made in the Physics Editor....

Chasis
Front Track 1818mm (actual car specs)
Rear Track 1720 mm
Wheelbase 2880 mm
CoG Height 230 mm

Engine
Human Race Power 833 (entering this number brings Actual Race Power to 730 BHP)
Human Qualy Power 833 (entering this number brings Actual Race Power to 730 BHP)
Max RPM 13800 (actual car spec)
Click Optimize.

Tyres Front and Rear Radius 330.2 (actual car spec)
Weight Front and back 14 KG

Using these numbers in the Phys Editor I ran a 1:22.5 second lap with 37 laps of fuel on board using the keyboard. I am new to GP4 and I use autobraking until I get my wheel and pedals. I can not use the keyboard to brake at all. So that being said whoever uses these numbers and uses a wheel with no auto braking is going to destroy my time. How else do I slow the car down without altering the actual car specs?

Also I can not pass cars like I was before I made these edits (I notice a Huge Difference). But it still needs a little bit more tweaking. I understand This will follow me car to car. This is only for the Benetton.

Very nice mod, but I'm getting some game crashes probably because I'm using the mod in the wrong way. I have setup my GP4 install all like explained, incl. the PLUS tracks.
Now, as long as I chose a single Grand Prix in CSM the game runs fine for me. But if I chose Full Season and then change to Non-Championship Race within the game (and chosing another track), GP4 will crash when hitting OK in the 'Last Changes' screen. Is the 'Full Season' in CSM only meant to do a championship season in the right order where you save your game each time within the game?

I can only raise my 2 thumbs for this excellent mod, the complete tracks, the cars, the sound, all wonderful

However I have a problem related to the race start that I don't encounter in other mods. On the race start, if I set the 1st gear and give middle gas before the red light goes off (start signal), my RPM goes crazy up and down, same for the engine sound, I start very slowly and I'm never able to make a good start, the AI go past me very fast. If I set neutral gear and set the 1st gear after the signal, same problem. It's not track related, it happens on any track. I'm using a joystick, not a wheel/pedal.
In other mods like 2002,2005,2006 I never get this problem, I set the 1st gear, when the signal is free I give gas and I go decently.

What happens here, what is the right procedure for the race start in this mod, maybe I do it wrong?

I found out that it has to do with the Launch Control (F9). If I switch it OFF at race start I can start normally...strange, it should be the opposite, but ok...

1991 real performance for GPxPatch 4.43 by Rot Teufel

An update i got in mind since a long time and get sleep until GPxPatch 4.43 appears. I always really love 1991 mod for GP4, but i always feel that results were always the same. So i tried to replicate the real 1991 results race by race. They're not perfect, but there's more results variety in qualify and race by adding some surprise outcomers like for the real season.
Specifically made for with Grip and Power new GPxPatch function. Expect significant differences between top team and bottom ones.

Additional .tmd files for Trackpack 1991 or 1991 single tracks added. Anyway those files are just an additional edits from me.

Concerning about retirements and some dnf cars


Retirements and dnf cars

Even if GPxPatch 4.43 allow individual retiments, the retirements system is still random. So the actual value i use for retirements will work or not. I can't do more and i'm sorry.
About dnf cars, some cars were unable to do even one lap or doing really slow laps for early troubles. In those case, i used a mixture between the average grip performance value and qualify results. It's not perfect, but works.

Gee, I'm so happy to finally be able to drive on the Phoenix circuit, I think the hardest one from all, I remember the joy I had with the first serie, F1GP. The circuit here in the 1991 mod is very well done , the proof: I was NEVER able to finish a race on it

This MOD is simply brilliant. I would like to change some specific tweaker configuration but there is no gp4tweak_data folder like in other MODs . Where are located the gp4tweak_data in the 1991 MOD ? Sorry if it was already discussed , tried to find but was not sucessful .
