Hi, i'm new to making tracks and since it seems there are alot of track makers here..maybe someone can help me.

So far i've done the layout : track, pitlane and the pitlane commands. When i load the track it works fine.

I'm now onto the cc-line..and well im having a few problems with it. For some reason..no matter what i try, i can never get the right angle for the cc-line to go round the corner..it always ends up going waaay to wide or having a sudden change of position in the middle of the section.

Can anyone help me with this?

hi, well i always take a look from a original track, compare your cornors with other in a original track, than take that value, off course it is not 100% perfect but than you can try a bit lower or bit higher, good luck with it

ps: great track :)

With cc-line you just have to experiment with values. Normally, for a tight hairpin you want a value under 10,000, and then for long sweeping corners, multiple cc-lines that either widen out, tighten up :)

About that pitlane, how long is it?

I wasn't sure about the size of the pitlane...i kinda like the way it starts before the main straight and a few corners earlier. It's about 140 sectors i think, so yeh its kinda big and thx for the tips

A tip though, perhaps remove the "kink"? It would make for a smoother pitlane :)

Why not a pits entry at the s/f straight? The straight is long enough, now you loose too much time if you make a pitstop.

On the main straight, plus the pitlane wouldn't be so far from the track and then you've have a faster exit there too :)

How does this look for a better pitlane?

Much better. For the pitlane exit, use curve radius values of 10degrees per 10 sectors, and that way you'll have a super smooth pit exit :)

Hi again.

I've now re-made the pitlane and begun the graphical part of the track. So far i've textured the verges, banks, kerbs, fences, track and pitlane.

I've got another problem though, i've put the .gp4, .col etc into the wad and added the .tex files i used but for some reason it just comes up without any textures at all, no track or anything.
