Thanks zep:)

@Karan: Atm I don't know what will follow but Nürburgring is one option. It would be cool when the layout was ready so that it coulb be done in hi-res.

How do you install this? Shutt1e's version was for the Indianapolis slot. The readme says to update the a1-ring wad. Am I missing something? I have the Shanghai track in the a1-ring slot. I updated the wad with files but I am missing some textures like the pit garages. Can anyone help?

you haven't got shutte1e's final version!
the final version 0.9 replaces a1ring so you fisrt have to download it

I've got problems with the final version by Shuttle. I replaced the a1ring wad and the S1CT06 per the instructions, but when the circuit loads in the 2005 mod the track is invisible, and the ground is where the sky should be. Really bizarre stuff. Impossible to drive this way. Any ideas on a fix?

Second that, the only circuit with no high-res version. Looking forward!

Yes I am . Is the Shanghai track supposed to have any other files besides the track wad and the S1CT06 dat file? Cause unless it is I can't imagine why this track looks so crazy for me...

No, but I think that the name "s1ct06" won't work. If I am informed well you have to rename it to something like "2005-a1ring" or "2005-shanghai".
Am I correct Tony?

is it possible to add shadows around the straight and the last corner as it all in the shade and also about elevation theres a dip on the straight which would be very cool to have

Yes, I know all that. Zeppelin will give me some hints about elevations and then I will start. I also want to have this sweet dip:)

Thanks mate - it surely will:)

EDIT: Just read your instructions. I won't build the track from scratch becuase the layout is nearly perfect. I'll start with the witdh of the track at some corners and after that I'll change the banks. When this is done I'll make the elevations. I guess I will have to play around with them <and run some tests for 2 or 3 days but then I should be ready to beginn.

Believe me, just setting up the heights, and ensuring you have will have a bump-free and relatively realistic looking track with heights is difficult. I don't want to put you off, but I hope you have a good amount of spare time, and a lot of patience :)

I don't have a clue here. There is a s1ct06 in the circuits folder, and then track named specific dat files, in the case of the 2005 mod there is one which corresponds to the a1ring named "2005-Sakhir".

At present there is no Sakhir track, so to utilize the Shanghai track here should two copies of "s1ct06" be in the circuits folder with one renamed "2005-Sakhir" and substituted for it?
