This is what i mean:

The pitlane has a left and right rail, the left is the one that is parallel to the pitlane. The right rail is highlighted in red, but where it comes from i don't know.

This is the link to the gp4 file where the problem occurred: [rapidshare.de]

You need to change the bank description to match the rest of the pitlane I'd say :)

As said before, 16.4 as several bugs and sometimes very dangerous ones (as the one which is moving the .dat when you move a .gp4 object, so for the first time, I should advice you to rather keep the v16 to work on tracks instead of using 16.4. Next version is not far ahead hopefully.

dlbank???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

i checked the unedited wad you sent & this is the same...the objects in the tree list are mixed up??????????? 16.4???????????????????????????????????

dlbanks = dat left banks
I had to use short names as .3ds format as ZM do not handle long object names.
if dlverge are large enough, maybe dlbank is only a thin line below rails.

16.4 have several bugs? Is this you said Laurent? I didn't found those bugs. The only thing I think that is missing in 3DEditor is the pitlane code, as the car doesn't respect banking of pitlane. But I'm building two tracks as the same time, and everything is perfect. Sincerously, I don't know what to wait of the next versions. :D

The explanation for this pitcrew/pitlane problem is probably the same as for driving underground on tracks with high banking.

3dEd banking code isn't exactly the same as gp4 banking code (yet). So when the .col and .bin are generated there are some differences in face coordinates, resulting that these files don't match the .dat file in those (high) banked sectors.

Yep, you're right Laurent, only the run-off area's by the turns of my track have a small dlbank.

Jimbob, or someone else, can you upload 3DEditor 16.0 for me?

Many thanks Jimbob for the files and now i also see that 16.4 was the cause for the problems.

@kimirgj: It's just the heights, displace them until they are nearly straight and then tweak it withe the profiler

thanks zeppelin, it was the z-axis, the uphill was because i have the z position as above 0 and the downhill was due to the negative z positions. i jst changed them to 0 and its fine :)

Jimbob, thanks for the edited GP4 file, but still excists that crazy wall, you will not see it intermediately, but it is there. I think i know the cause for that problem. Both we are using Maverick's pits template, but the mine has two large bank sections at the end of the pits exit and yours has normal bank sections, let it show to you:

Mine:

Yours:

Is there a way to get it right and automatically get rid of that crazy wall? I've tried it yesterday but i messed it up completely.
