Non-CSM Projects Part 4: F1 2008 (based on MSchumi24's 2008 mod)

Posted by rusolive
My next non-CSM project will be a conversion, based on the 2008 F1 season.
Thanks to MSchumi24 (Matteo) for giving me the base for my conversion and I also want to give a shoutout to all the good people who gave me the resources I need.

Cars:
Ferrari F2008: Craigo, Gezere and Skaningen
BMW Sauber F1.08: RSCT
Renault R28: Craigo and Kizz
Williams FW30: Mitsuro Sano and Paolo Capriosa
Red Bull RB4, Toyota TF108, Honda RA108, Toro Rosso STR03 and Super Aguri SA08: Fongu and Raulongo
Force India VJM01: Racervieh, Fongu and Raulongo
McLaren MP4-23: Mitsuro Sano, Zero Wolf and Kizz

Helmets:
Shape: Eugenio Faria
Textures: Daimon

Other stuff:
Cockpit: Tony and Renault#1Fan
Pitcrews: Fongu
Loading screens: GPGMG
Performance: Gitanes and rusolive
Rims: Enzojz and Lee
Sounds and tyres: Lee
Visors: TTM
GPaedia: petrus
Menu backgrounds: Nick

Tracks:
Barcelona: Gildoorf, Prblanco, Ruboy and TTM
Magny-Cours: Gildoorf, Prblanco and Ruboy
Hungaroring: Gildoorf, Lo2k, Prblanco and Ruboy
Estoril: pimpones1 and Noobinio
The rest: The makers of the 2008 trackpack

Major updates are coming in version 1.1, which include:
- Fixed wheel positions for the Red Bulls, McLarens, Toro Rossos and Hondas
- A new steering wheel (the default one this time. I really liked the 2009 Ferrari wheel made by JCaranti, but upon learning that he isn't a nice guy, I decided to put the default wheel as a placeholder)
- The original Imola track being in place of Samuele Pinna and Martin Schubert's 2007 Sakhir track (there isn't enough runoff on the 2nd sector of this track, which led to car handling problems)

Version 1.2 includes two new tracks: the original A1-Ring in place of Shanghai and pimpones1 and Noobinio's Estoril in place of Istanbul, with new muppets by Fongu for the A1-Ring and Imola tracks.

Version 1.2.1 contains updates on performance datas and the Magny-Cours track.

Hi @rusolive

It seems you have included some tracks from F1virtual such as Barcelona and Hungaroring (I didn't run the mod, but the file sizes and dates match). We were not previously informed about this.

While we generally do not oppose our tracks being included in Mods, I can't see anywhere here, or in your files, any mention to the original authors of the works you're sharing, F1virtual included.

So I kindly ask for the link to be put down until you manage to list proper credits to everyone who had their work (cars, tracks, graphics) included in this mod.

Hello everyone. After a long talk, we decided that the 2008 conversion will not be updated.
Updating the conversion will take us longer than we expected.
In addition, Andriy did the best he could to make this conversion better, although far from top-class.
So, to dedicate his contributions as the leader of the group, we won't work on it anymore and focus on new projects instead.
Be sure to tune in to our latest works! And as always, Glory to Ukraine!

Which member left?
Only Andriy has left. But don't worry, he will be back soon.

You did not send me any PM nor tried other ways to contact me.

Yet you are clearly influenced by some persons that writes about me in the behinds scenes
without even asking me if i accept or not to be included in the mod my steering wheel.
Thats not very polite of you. (N)

2010 to 2021 Gp4 Track updates
Well, that was dreadful. :(
@rusolive, well that's not very nice. Jorge is a good guy and a long-standing member of the community. Please be nice.

Glenn
Jorge is a living legend, without him I wouldn't have these spectacular and perfect circuits that we have for free and available to the public.
thanks for existing jorge, i'm your fan
I'm sorry for what Andriy just said. He could be an utter idiot at times.
You couldn't just judge people by their background. Chill out, everyone.

I might have a 2008 non tsm track somewhere that i compiled so many years ago for the 2008 csm mod( i decided not release it). that i was about to publish in 2009.
If i find it i might send it to you. (Y)
