Pirelli Tyre Side Walls [SOLVED]

Hello guys,

does anybody know if it's possible to use the intermediate and wet tyres of Pirelli also for dry weather, especially the sidewalls? I want to use nine different sidewalls for the 22 cars. Do I have to program it in the performance file? And how do I have to rename the files in the Tyres-folder then? Thank you very much!

Hi!
The intermediate and wet tyres are the hard, medium and soft tread_1, tread_2 and tread_3 sidewalls (tread_2 and tread_3 are the same: wet and moonsoon)

So, what you have to do is to copy and rename all the tread_1 (intermediate) or tread_2 (wet) files as tread_0 to get intermediate or wet for dry weather.

In order to keep the hard , medium and soft as they are, better is to create intermediate and wet tyres using tread_1 or tread_2 of the others tyres.
Intermediate_tread_0_right_0.tex
Intermediate_tread_0_right_1.tex
Intermediate_tread_0_right_2.tex
Intermediate_tread_1_right_0.tex
Intermediate_tread_1_right_1.tex
Intermediate_tread_1_right_2.tex
Intermediate_tread_2_right_0.tex
Intermediate_tread_2_right_1.tex
Intermediate_tread_2_right_2.tex
Intermediate_tread_3_right_0.tex
Intermediate_tread_3_right_1.tex
Intermediate_tread_3_right_2.tex

Same thing for the wet tyres.

Then, edit your performance file like this:

[File]
Version=213

[TyreTextureNames]
Name #00=hard
Name #01=soft
Name #02=medium
Name #03=intermediate
Name #04=wet

[TreadTextures]
Team #00=4
Team #01=3
Team #02=2
Team #03=2
Team #04=3
Team #05=4
Team #06=0
Team #07=1
Team #08=2
Team #09=0
Team #10=2

You can decide which team or driver will use the hard, medium, soft intermediate or wet tyres. For a same team, you can decide for each driver to use a different type of tyre. Example:
Team #00=4,2

Which means that for the 1st team, driver1 will use the wet and driver 2 will use the medium.

Make a backup of your original tyres files before any changes, just an advice

Thank you very much, I will try when I'm at this stage. Unfortunately, I'm still a long way from programing the new performance file, there are still no cars. ;) hot

I have downloaded the 2018 Pirelli Tyres yesterday, but now everything is messed up. Sidewall textures are at the treads and the other way round. When riding with another car the sidewall textures are white, the become black again when you are getting nearer to the other car. I have experienced a lot of texture troubles already, but this time I simply don't know where's the problem. :-o hot

Here's what's written in the performance file:

[Tyres]

My dear friends, it's only a small step for the community, but a big step for TGF1DRIVER! I was able to fix the problem myself.

First, I had to modify the f1graphics.cfg file like in this post: [www.grandprixgames.org]

Second, I realized that there were only car_wheel_front_lod_0.gp4 and car_wheel_rear_lod_0.gp4 in the download files, but the lods 1, 2 and 3 were missing. So I decided just to rename both files also to lods 1, 2 and 3. And now the tyres are looking fine from each view! Enjoy this great day, my friends! ;) (Y) (H) (I)
