GP4 Tweaker Numcars.ini

Ok so I've been searching the forums for like a week and reinstalled Grand Prix 4 multiple times, and I've succeeded in this process multiple times, but whenever I try to get rid of the Minardis using numcars.ini and gp4tweak.ini they always seem to be there. I've turned the Minardi cars to 0 on the numcars, changed the CarsEnabler to 1 and changed the path around to the correct place, but the Minardis are still there. What else can I do?

It works only in races and not in qualify or free pratic sessions

Yh I always jump straight to the race and they’re still there.

In GP4tweak.ini make sure it's enabled

If you're using a CSM mod, make sure you have the EnableTweaker.cap in your patch folder. I also load the mod (disable quickstart) so when gpxpatch comes up, I check all the files have swapped into the right place.

Thanks for the help, but I tried it all and it didn't work. I'm using the vanilla GP4 game, but I might try just putting the EnableTweaker.cap file in the game files just to see if it does anything else. If there's anything else I can try, let me know please. Thanks again.

Everything above is correct & necessary. HOWEVER, if it still doesn't work:

Check that you have gp4tweak.dll in the same folder as gp4tweak.ini (both in root of GP4 on mine).

OK to copy the file from another mod.

Worked for me.

Another good idea, thanks, but still nothing unfortunately.

I did find that the dll file I had in one of my mods was corrupt and a fresh one from another mod did solve my tweaker issues.

I expect you already know this, but you know it doesn't work with YOUR car, only the CC cars, right? (At least it never does for me).

Have you tried making a copy of the mod and dumping all the gp4tweak files from another mod into it? It would be interesting to know what happens. It must work then, surely?

Alternatively, if you can't fix it AND you use a separate PF for each race (AND which uses a separate failure rate for each of the 22 cars, rather than the team as a whole - most don't) , you could always set the failure rate to maximum for that car; which for a 100% race, if I'm not mistaken, would be 16384. At least then the offending car would be very unlikely to finish.

PS: Final idea: Is your gp4tweak.bin file about 30k in size, or 1k? If it's 1k use one from another mod.
